1. Le Huynh Duc
Born on April 20, 1972, in Saigon, with roots in Hue. Le Huynh Duc is considered the greatest striker in the history of Vietnamese football, holding the record for the most goals scored for the national team and the most goals in the Tiger Cup (or AFF Cup) for a long time until Le Cong Vinh broke this record.
Le Huynh Duc possesses all the qualities of a true goal scorer, including excellent heading ability, aerial prowess, deadly finishing, and outstanding positional awareness. He is the player with the most individual records in Vietnam, winning the Golden Ball award three times (1995, 1997, 2002), the Silver Ball three times (1998, 1999, 2000), and being the top scorer in the national championship twice (1996, 1997). Currently, he is the head coach of SHB Da Nang club.






Huu Thang, born in 1972, grew up in the training ground of his hometown club Song Lam Nghe An. He once captained the Vietnam national team and Song Lam Nghe An club during the 1997-1999 period. Known for his passionate and solid playing style, Huu Thang was praised by former football legends, including the outstanding striker Le Huu Duc, who considered him exceptional and the most formidable opponent. Huu Thang played as a defensive midfielder, forming a formidable partnership with Do Khai, creating a 'steel shield' for the Vietnam national team.
Huu Thang is also closely associated with the golden generation's success, achieving runner-up positions in the SEA Games 1995, Tiger Cup 1998, and winning silver in Tiger Cup 1996 and SEA Games 1997. Alongside Song Lam Nghe An, Huu Thang secured the National Championship runner-up title in 1998, third place in 1996, and the national cup silver medals in 1996, 1998. Huu Thang was awarded the Silver Ball Vietnam in 1997.

7. Do Khai
Born on April 1, 1974, he played as a defender for the Hai Quan club and the Vietnam national team. In the peak years of his career from 1993 to 2001, he was considered the 'steel shield' of the national team, displaying a highly intelligent playing style with precise tackles and rare malicious fouls. The former Hai Quan defender retired in 2001 at the age of 28 due to a severe knee injury.
He, along with the Hai Quan club, won the National Cup in 1996 and 1997. With the Vietnam national team, he achieved runner-up positions in the SEA Games 1995, 1999, Tiger Cup 1998, and won silver in Tiger Cup 1996 and SEA Games 1997. Do Khai was awarded the Silver Ball Vietnam in 2001 and the Bronze Ball Vietnam in 2000.
