1. Anh Đã Ổn Hơn - MCK
After more than a month since the release of the album "99%", MCK's hit track 'Anh Đã Ổn Hơn' has officially landed at No.1 on Billboard Vietnam's Top Vietnamese Songs chart. This marks the 14th track from his debut studio album, which was released on March 2.
'Anh Đã Ổn Hơn' is MCK's second song to top the chart, following the success of his previous hit 'Chìm Sâu' released last year. Collaborating with Trung Trần, MCK reached No.1 with three non-consecutive weeks. As of now, 'Chìm Sâu' continues to hold steady at No.6, marking its 58th week on the chart.
2. Turn the Love On - Hòa Minzy x Tăng Duy Tân
'Turn the Love On' by Hòa Minzy and Tăng Duy Tân is a classic example of a V-pop hit that gradually gained momentum. While it wasn't an instant sensation upon release, the song has steadily ranked high on the list of the most-played tracks in Vietnam. This week, the song has climbed another spot on the Vietnamese Songs chart, officially landing at No.3.
This track also marks the return of singer Hòa Minzy after a lengthy hiatus, collaborating with hitmaker Tăng Duy Tân just in time for Valentine’s Day on February 14. Despite being more than two months old, the song's popularity shows no signs of fading, proving its lasting appeal and potential for long-term success.
3. Kill Bill (Remix) - SZA ft Doja Cat
At precisely 11 AM on April 14 (Vietnam time), the dynamic duo of SZA and Doja Cat released the highly anticipated remix of the hit song 'Kill Bill.' Originally, 'Kill Bill' was one of SZA's standout tracks of the year, earning her several spots on both the Billboard Hot 100 and the Billboard Vietnam Hot 100 charts.
This remix marks the second collaboration between SZA and Doja Cat, following their successful partnership on 'Kiss Me More.' Their chemistry brought them a Grammy win for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the awards show.
4. Who's This Girl? - Krix X Rush ft. Nhi Nhi
'Who's This Girl?' by Krix X Rush ft. Nhi Nhi is one of the hottest tracks on TikTok right now. Despite being released back in 2021, it has found a second wave of popularity through the platform, sending the younger generation into a frenzy.
Currently, 'Who's This Girl?' holds the top spot on TikTok's trending sound section and is the most-used track by users. Right behind it are songs like: 'Nhất trên đời (Speed Up Version)', 'Thích hay là yêu', 'Turn the Love On', 'Em là nhất miền Tây (Mee Remix)', 'Tại sao lại xinh như thế', '11:11', 'Hình như ta thích nhau', 'Đừng lo nhé có anh đây', and 'Tình ca ngọt ngào'.
Without needing a flashy music video, the song’s charming melody and catchy lyrics have captured the hearts of countless fans.
5. Flower - Jisoo (BLACKPINK)
On March 31, 2023, at 11 AM (Vietnam time), Jisoo of BLACKPINK officially released her solo album 'ME', featuring the tracks 'Flower' and 'All Eyes on Me'. The title track 'Flower' immediately went viral across social media platforms, placing Jisoo at the center of global attention. Notably, YG Entertainment also promoted 'Flower' as the most heavily invested music video ever produced by the group.
'Flower' is a dance track with a highly addictive bassline and minimalist arrangements, focusing on powerful bass and percussion to create a fresh, ear-catching auditory experience. The idol’s flower-inspired dance move in the music video has garnered millions of views and hundreds of thousands of covers worldwide, including in Vietnam.
Upon release, 'Flower' reached No.1 on iTunes Song Worldwide in 62 countries and territories, including No.1 on iTunes US and No.5 on iTunes UK. As for album sales, 'ME' sold 876,249 copies on its first day, setting a new record for the highest first-day sales by a solo K-pop artist in Hanteo history.
Remarkably, though Jisoo was the last BLACKPINK member to debut as a solo artist, she became the first to reach No.1 on the Billboard Vietnam Chart. This marks the first time a K-pop female idol has topped the Billboard Hot 100 Vietnam since the chart's inception in January 2022.
6. Cupid - FIFTY FIFTY
Recently, 'Cupid' has become one of the top-charting tracks on music charts in Vietnam and around the world. This song is part of the debut single 'The Beginning: Cupid' by the K-pop group FIFTY FIFTY.
Despite being rookies, the four-member girl group made history by becoming the fastest K-pop artists to enter the Billboard Hot 100, doing so just 130 days after their debut.
In Vietnam, 'Cupid' landed at No.82 on its first week and, just one week later, saw an impressive leap, climbing 70 spots to No.12 on the Billboard Vietnam Hot 100 chart.
Music experts attribute the track’s viral success to its catchy melody and polished production, which can adapt to various styles, helping 'Cupid' stay on top of the charts.
7. Về với em - Võ Hạ Trâm
On April 12, Võ Hạ Trâm made her highly anticipated return to the Vpop scene after a long hiatus with the release of 'Về với em'. This track blends the cultural elements of Vietnam and India, marking the beginning of her 'The Love Journey' project. The project will consist of three songs to be released in 2023. The singer embarked on this journey to celebrate both her Vietnamese heritage and her husband's Indian roots. Notably, her husband invested a staggering 5 billion VND into this comeback.
'Về với em' is a cinematic masterpiece that fuses electronic music with traditional Indian instruments. The catchy chorus with its driving rhythm is memorable, especially the powerful moment when Võ Hạ Trâm belts out high notes while performing an energetic dance routine, captivating listeners with her impressive vocal range.
