1. Floral Presentation for October 20th: The Image of Vietnamese Mothers
Honorable judges, respected teachers, and dear colleagues!
My name is .....................
Representing the school: ............... .........
Today, I am honored to present my floral arrangement for the October 20th competition, and I would like to share my concept and ideas behind the arrangement.
Vietnam, a beloved country shaped like the letter 'S', has nurtured countless souls across generations. It reflects the beauty of our land, our people, our culture, and our national identity. From ancient times, women have been portrayed as mothers giving birth to hundreds of children. Over time, through the heroic history of building and protecting the nation, women have demonstrated their inner and outer beauty—through their virtues and grace, embodied in the traditional ao dai and conical hats. For this competition, the theme I wish to honor is the Image of Vietnamese Mothers, symbolized by the letter 'S'.
The floral arrangement prominently features the letter 'S', formed by the vibrant yellow sunflowers. A conical hat sits atop this shape, symbolizing the hardworking Vietnamese mothers, from those toiling in the fields to the sisters managing the markets, and the young women with their shy smiles.
Women, and mothers in particular, often bear significant hardships in life, yet they embrace the noble role of motherhood. To represent this sacred and selfless role, Vietnamese mothers endure much hardship for the sake of their children and grandchildren. Despite the struggles, the image of Vietnamese women and mothers remains pure, dignified, and an enduring symbol of beauty and grace.
Despite their hardships, Vietnamese mothers never complain! They rise early and work tirelessly in the fields, enduring the harsh weather and long hours to provide for their families. Their image, whether it be a mother working under the rain or a street vendor carrying heavy loads, is a common motif in folk songs and poems.
"The elderly mother gathers straw and hay,
Raising her children to earn respect,
The poor mother with her torn conical hat,
Hopes for her children to live in peace!"
Confidence, integrity, loyalty, and diligence are the timeless virtues that define the role of Vietnamese women as wives and mothers, asserting their place in the family, community, and society. These qualities shine brightly through every era—whether in times of war or peace, in the past or the present.
Thank you to the esteemed judges, my teachers, and all my colleagues for listening to my presentation. I wish you all good health, and I hope this competition will be a great success.
Thank you and best regards!

2. Floral Presentation for October 20th: The Boat of Flowers
Honorable judges, respected teachers, and dear colleagues!
My name is .....................
Representing the school: ............... .........
Today, I am pleased to present my floral arrangement for the October 20th competition, and I would like to share the concept and ideas behind my design.
Women are undoubtedly one of nature’s most remarkable gifts to the world. Without women, life would lack the vibrant colors that make it beautiful. Each woman brings her own strength, honed through intelligence, sensitivity, and a deep compassion that radiates from her heart. She is an exceptional citizen who contributes to society, a loving wife, a dedicated mother, and the flame that warms every home. The theme of my presentation, The Boat of Flowers, symbolizes the aspiration to sail beyond the horizon, to new opportunities, and reflects the intellectual and physical beauty of Vietnamese women.
The boat’s green sails, made from betel leaves, represent the gentle, protective hands of a woman, shielding the boat from the stormy waves, helping it sail ahead and overcome all obstacles. The roses and white orchids represent Vietnamese women on the global stage—strong, capable, proud, and resilient.
No matter how many storms, rain, or scorching sun they face, these flowers continue to bloom, reaching for the sun, showing their vibrant beauty and filling the air with fragrance, enhancing the world around them. As someone once said, “No matter where we place women, they will always beautify society. They are life’s treasures.”
Today, let’s honor the women who, with their fragrance and beauty, grace the world. This creation may not win high marks, but I want to emphasize that women are the colors of life. They can achieve greatness, and we should cherish them, offering all the love and respect they deserve.
Thank you to the esteemed judges, my teachers, and all my colleagues for listening to my floral arrangement presentation. Once again, I wish you good health, and I hope this competition is a great success.
Thank you and best regards!

3. Floral Presentation for October 20th: Empowering Vietnamese Women
Esteemed judges, dear teachers, and colleagues!
My name is ..................... and I represent the school: ............... .........
I am honored to participate in this floral art competition celebrating Vietnamese Women's Day, October 20th. I would like to present the concept behind my floral arrangement.
The lotus flower, which symbolizes the spirit of the Vietnamese people, represents resilience and purity, and has been designated as the national flower of Vietnam.
As the folk song says:
"In the pond, what’s more beautiful than the lotus?
Green leaves, white flowers, with golden pollen inside.
The golden pollen, white flowers, and green leaves
Near the mud, yet without the smell of the mud."
Moreover, the lotus also symbolizes the physical beauty of Vietnamese women:
"Your wrists as white as ivory,
Your eyes sharp as the edge of a knife,
Your smile sweet like jasmine flowers,
Your headscarf like the lotus."
For this competition, the theme I wish to express is Empowering Vietnamese Women, using the lotus flowers as a symbol of this strength.
The center of my arrangement features blooming and budding lotus flowers, along with lotus pods. These represent the different generations of Vietnamese women, from the young to the elderly. The lotus flowers on the boat symbolize the ambition of Vietnamese women to reach out to the world, to assert their intelligence and beauty on the international stage. This is a pure, perfect beauty—gentle, graceful, and deeply rooted in Vietnamese essence, unmatched anywhere else.
As Victor Hugo once said, "Beside the shimmering light of the stars, there is the soft and mysterious light of a woman’s soul." Indeed, this gentle yet powerful light continues to shine across all aspects of society, not only showcasing beauty but also illuminating the intellect and talent of women today. This soft, mysterious light is crucial in shaping a brighter future for society, and Vietnamese women are no exception. They are proving to the world that they are not only devoted and diligent but also capable of navigating life with strength and grace, striving for greater heights.
Thank you to the esteemed judges, my teachers, and colleagues for listening to my presentation on this floral arrangement. Once again, I wish you good health, and I hope this competition is a great success.
Thank you and best regards!

4. Floral Presentation for October 20th: A Mother's Hands
Esteemed judges, dear teachers, and colleagues!
My name is .....................
I represent the institution of: ............... .........
I am honored to participate in the floral art competition celebrating Vietnamese Women's Day, October 20th. I would like to share the concept behind my floral arrangement.
As we all know, anyone who loves nature, plants, and poetry also holds a special affection for flowers. Flowers are loved for their simplicity and innocence—they bear no grudge, have no hatred, never complain, do no harm, and never cause sadness. Flowers bloom with vibrant colors, and each flower name carries its own meaning, symbolizing different emotions.
The theme of my floral arrangement is A Mother's Hands. The image of a mother has always been a timeless subject in poetry, literature, art, and music. When we think of mothers, we are reminded of the saying, "A mother's love is as vast as the endless ocean..."
The large seashell at the base of my arrangement represents a mother's hands, offering protection and guidance to her children. The focal point of the arrangement is the lily, a symbol of gentleness and purity. The surrounding white roses embody the purity, virtue, sincerity, and holiness of Vietnamese women. The heart-shaped design of the arrangement expresses the vast and boundless love that a mother has for her child.
The connection between flowers and humans reminds us of the lessons that flowers teach. Some flowers are nameless, yet whether large or small, they are all perfectly beautiful with their vibrant, refreshing colors. Flowers are the beauty of life, deserving of respect, equality, and to live their full lives until they wither. Just as flowers impart wisdom, they encourage us to live with equality and humanity. No matter one's status, be it rich or poor, noble or humble, we should live a life worth respecting and cherish the role we play in society. Like flowers, our value in life is not based on status, roles, or honors, but on our character and abilities. The beauty of life lies in fulfilling our roles with integrity, just as flowers share their beauty to brighten the world.
With all my heart, on International Women's Day, March 8th, 20XX, I wish to send my deepest gratitude and warm wishes to all mothers, aunts, and sisters. If you are thinking of a way to honor or thank your mother for the sacrifices she has made, a simple gesture, such as a surprise floral arrangement, could carry the message of your love on this special day.
We can look forward to the younger generation today, living in an era of integration with the global community, continuing to build the image of Vietnamese women—competent, elegant, and dynamic. This will be a crucial part of the cultural evolution, representing the beauty and spirit of contemporary Vietnamese women.
Once again, thank you to the esteemed judges, my teachers, and all my colleagues for listening to my floral art presentation. I wish you good health and hope the competition is a great success.
Thank you and best regards!

5. Floral Presentation for October 20th: The Grace of Vietnam
Esteemed judges, respected teachers, and dear colleagues!
My name is ....................., and I represent the institution of: ............... .........
I am honored to participate in the floral art competition for Vietnamese Women's Day, October 20th. I would like to present the concept behind my floral arrangement.
Vietnam – the beloved land, shaped like the letter 'S', has nurtured countless generations of youth, creating a beautiful bond between the land, the people, the culture, and the heritage of our nation. Since ancient times, the image of women has always been associated with motherhood, as the bearer of life. Throughout the long history of Vietnam, women have symbolized the grace of both inner and outer beauty, through their virtues, their delicate Ao Dai, and their iconic conical hats.
Therefore, the theme I want to convey through my floral arrangement is 'The Grace of Vietnam,' represented by the shape of the letter 'S.'
Looking at the arrangement as a whole, the prominent feature is the letter 'S' formed by fresh, blooming roses. These roses represent the deep beauty of Vietnamese women, a beauty that has inspired countless poems and songs. Adorning the arrangement is the iconic conical hat, a symbol closely tied to the hardworking Vietnamese women—mothers toiling in the fields, sisters managing the markets, or young women in their prime with a shy smile.
Though the roses in the crystal vase may appear magnificent, the true beauty of Vietnamese women lies in their subtle elegance, symbolized by the soft curve of the conical hat. Complementing the roses is the shape of the letter 'S', crafted from deep red roses, a tribute to the pride and remembrance of the invaluable contributions of Vietnamese women throughout the nation's history.
On this land shaped like the letter 'S,' after countless years of war and struggle against feudalism, Vietnamese women have grown even more radiant. They have proven themselves like the lotus flowers blooming from the mud—gentle yet pure. Whether in the past or today, the elegance and grace of Vietnamese women remain timeless.
Once again, I thank the esteemed judges, my teachers, and all colleagues for listening to my floral art presentation. I wish you good health and success in this competition.
Thank you and best regards!

6. Floral Presentation for October 20th: Honoring
Esteemed judges, respected teachers, and dear colleagues!
My name is ....................., and I represent the institution of: ............... .........
I am honored to participate in the floral art competition for Vietnamese Women's Day, October 20th. I would like to present the concept behind my floral arrangement.
For a long time, flowers have spoken the language of love, a language that expresses feelings through their delicate beauty. Each flower symbolizes a particular sentiment, and more importantly, flowers are the voice of love itself. For nature lovers, the bond between humans and flowers is poetic. The beauty of flowers lies not only in their shape and color but also in the subtle essence of their fragrance, much like women whose beauty is not only in their outward appearance but in their inner strength, wisdom, and selflessness.
Inspired by the beauty of women, today I present my floral arrangement with the theme 'Honoring.' At the center of the vase are pink lotus flowers surrounded by green leaves. The lotus symbolizes the physical grace of Vietnamese women, embodying beauty and gentleness.
'Her wrists are white as ivory,
Her eyes sharp as a sickle blade,
Her smile like the flowers of the jasmine,
Her scarf on her head like a lotus.'
With this symbolic meaning in mind, I chose the lotus as the main flower for the theme 'Honoring.'
The pink lotus, with its vibrant color, represents vitality and a beautiful soul. The lotus grows in the dark, muddy waters, purifying itself before breaking through to the surface to bloom. This patience and perseverance in the process of growth symbolizes the purity, simplicity, and elegance of the Vietnamese way of life. There is a saying:
'In the pond, what is more beautiful than the lotus?
The green leaves, white flowers, and golden stamens,
The golden stamens, white flowers, green leaves,
Near the mud but never tainted by its smell.'
When the lotus blooms, it represents the expansion of life, untainted by the muddy waters below. Similarly, the soul of Vietnamese women is likened to the lotus—emerging from hardship, growing through challenges, and still maintaining their dignity and virtue.
Overall, you can see that the lotus flowers are placed on a boat, symbolizing the aspirations of Vietnamese women to reach the world, demonstrating their intellect and beauty to the international community. It is a pure, perfect beauty—graceful and distinctively Vietnamese, unmatched anywhere else. Vietnamese women continue to strive every day to show the world that they are not only devoted and capable, but also resilient and determined to rise and reach new heights.
I would like to thank the judges, my teachers, and all my colleagues for listening to my presentation on the art of floral arrangement for October 20th. Once again, I wish you good health and success in this competition.
Thank you and best regards!

7. Floral Presentation for October 20th: Simple and Silent
Esteemed judges, respected teachers, and dear colleagues!
My name is ....................., and I represent the institution of: .......................
I am honored to participate in the floral art competition for Vietnamese Women's Day, October 20th, and I would like to present the concept behind my floral arrangement.
This arrangement is based on simplicity and the quiet dignity that defines the heart of Vietnamese women. Despite facing life's hardships, sorrow, and fatigue, Vietnamese women never lose the love and sacrifice they give to their husbands and children. They toil tirelessly for their families, asking for nothing in return. These women serve silently, embracing their roles as wives and mothers with grace. With this in mind, I have chosen the frangipani flower as the centerpiece of my arrangement, symbolizing the theme 'Simple and Silent.'
The frangipani flower, pure and delicate, represents simplicity, yet it carries an irresistible fragrance. Day by day, it blooms, bringing a sense of purity and rising towards the vast sky, its fragrant clusters of flowers unfurling. Just like Vietnamese women, who quietly endure hardship, these mothers, sisters, and daughters embrace their roles with gentleness and strength, dedicating their entire lives to the happiness of their families.
If we look closely, we can see the frangipani flowers resting on stones—symbolizing the challenges and hardships women face. In every stage of life, the beauty of women remains timeless, a constant presence. This beauty comes from patience, resilience, and unwavering loyalty. Women know how to manage household life, care for children and elderly parents, and provide for the sick. Even through adversity, their remarkable beauty cannot be overshadowed. To emphasize this, I have placed the frangipani flowers on rough stones, symbolizing the strength and brilliance of women who rise above trials and challenges.
The image of the conical hat also complements this arrangement, symbolizing the quiet sacrifice and dedication of women. The hat accompanies mothers to the fields, supports sisters fetching water, and offers comfort during hot summer afternoons. It quietly accompanies Vietnamese women throughout their lives, becoming a familiar tool of everyday life. The conical hat is not only practical but also adds a subtle beauty, representing modesty, simplicity, and elegance—qualities that define Vietnamese women.
Since ancient times, Vietnamese women have embodied a beauty that is simple, genuine, and full of sincerity. Through years of development and integration, the image of Vietnamese women continues to evolve, becoming more dynamic, youthful, and modern, yet their foundational qualities remain ever so present, only deepening and becoming more refined.
Once again, I would like to thank the judges, my teachers, and all my colleagues for listening to my presentation on the art of floral arrangement for October 20th. I wish you all good health and success in this competition.
Thank you and best regards!

8. Floral Presentation for October 20th: The Mother's Milk
Honorable judges, esteemed teachers, and dear colleagues!
My name is ....................., and I represent the institution of: .......................
I am pleased to participate in the floral art competition for Vietnamese Women's Day, October 20th, and would like to present the concept of my floral arrangement.
For each of us, our mother is the greatest woman in our lives. She is the one who nurtured us, raised us with care, and helped us overcome countless hardships, all while facing the challenges and struggles of life. We grew up from the loving hands of our mothers, from the sweet nourishment of her milk, and from the most sacred love she has for us. With this in mind, my floral arrangement is based on the theme 'The Mother's Milk.'
Every mother has endured the pains of childbirth and has given everything, including her life’s essence, to nurture her child. This is something no one can forget: 'Even when we grow up, we are still our mother's child, and her love for us never fades.'
The dominant color of my arrangement is white, symbolizing purity and the milk of motherhood. The flowers I have chosen include frangipani, white orchids, and white lilies. The flowing milk is symbolized by two vases of unequal height, connected by clusters of white orchids, representing the gentle stream of mother’s love. The frangipani and lilies represent the modest, simple beauty of women, who, in their silent sacrifice, overcome all obstacles to protect and care for their children.
The sweet milk of a mother has nourished us, granting us the happiness and completeness we experience today. Even as we grow older, the memory of our mother's milk remains etched in our hearts, a sacred image we can never forget.
From the very beginning, it was our mother who held us, loved us, and cared for us. Even as we grow, she remains by our side, guiding us through life's challenges. She has given up everything for us, staying awake through nights of sickness, working tirelessly to provide, and making sure we have enough food and clothes. Her sacrifices are beyond words. A mother's love is like a guiding light, like the shade on a hot day, like the sweetness of milk. A mother's love is as warm as the sun and as gentle as a flowing river. There is no love that compares to a mother's.
Once again, I would like to express my gratitude to the judges, teachers, and colleagues for listening to my presentation on the floral art for October 20th. I wish you all good health and success in this competition.
Thank you and best regards!
