Actress Cát Phượng born on May 15, 1970, is a renowned Vietnamese comedian and stage artist. In the field of theater, she is known for her roles in both drama and comedy.
She had to go through days of selling blood and eating instant noodles while waiting for her acting opportunities. After years of persistent effort, relentless striving, and non-stop dedication, she suddenly realized she had been dedicated to her craft for over two decades. Comedian Cát Phượng is recognized for her natural comedic style, appearing quite charming and always delivering hearty laughter to the audience. She left many unforgettable roles in the history of Vietnamese entertainment. In 2001, she won the Mai Vàng Award (Favorite Stage Actress for her role as Thị Nở in Chí Phèo) and the Mai Vàng Award in 2010 (for her role as Nương in the play Cánh đồng bất tận). Additionally, Cát Phượng's performance in the film Đất Phương Nam, alongside Hùng Thuận, Trung Dân, Ánh Hoa, Mạc Can, Phùng Ngọc, Thuý Loan, Thanh Điền,... created a new wave and marked a milestone in her acting career.

Singer Cẩm Ly, whose real name is Trần Thị Cẩm Ly, was born on March 30, 1970, in Binh Dinh province, Vietnam. She is a female Vietnamese singer known for pop music, folk music, traditional music, and contemporary music with folk influences. Dubbed the 'Folk Queen' of Vietnam in the modern era, she pioneered bringing folk and traditional music closer to the youth, injecting a breath of fresh air into familiar folk tunes.
She was born into a family with six siblings, and Cẩm Ly is the third child. Hence, the audience affectionately calls her Sister Tư. Cẩm Ly was born into a family with a tradition of artists. Possessing a sweet and profound voice, Cẩm Ly has won the hearts of a large fan base. She is also a television personality loved by the public through roles as a coach on music programs like “The Voice Kids” and “Bolero Idol.” Cẩm Ly began her solo singing career, releasing her debut album titled 'Forever Unfading.' 4. Thúy Uyên
Singer Thúy Uyên, born in 1970, is known as a member and co-founder of the Techno music group, a famous group in the 90s. In addition, this renowned singer also made an impression by acting as the fortune teller Bích Vân in the “G7 Aunties” group in the film Ugly Girl.
Since the age of 10, singer Thúy Uyên began studying performing arts, including rhythmic gymnastics and hoop dancing. Additionally, she learned to play the mandolin at the children's club in District 3. By the age of 15, Thúy Uyên quickly became a rhythmic gymnastics instructor at the children's club in District 1. Later, at the age of 20, Thúy Uyên spent two years choreographing dance for the Hòa Bình Theater before founding the Techno music group, which she was part of for over 10 years. After joining the cast of the Ugly Girl film, knowing that the filming period could last for two years, Thúy Uyên decided to leave the Techno group to become a solo singer to have time to focus on her first acting role. Her prominent songs such as Fate, The Area of Fluttering Leaves, The Story of Apricot Blossom, The Night of Oil Burial Across the Sea, The Old Path You Once Walked...
In 1993, she moved to the United States for permanent residence. In 1996, she started collaborating with Thúy Nga Center. The songs performed by Như Quỳnh have been widely appreciated. Most notably, two songs, 'The Area of Fluttering Leaves' and 'Fate,' which she performed in 2010, became a phenomenon in 2016-2017 when the Bolero music genre boomed in Vietnam. Due to this love, the composer Thái Thịnh, author of the song Fate, wrote a new song titled Swaying Fate as a continuation dedicated to Như Quỳnh's voice in Paris By Night 122.
After many years of waiting by fans in Vietnam, Như Quỳnh returned to her homeland, eager to bring her voice to serve the audience through live shows and, especially for the first time, as a coach. In 2018, Như Quỳnh officially became a coach for the third season of Bolero Idol alongside Ngọc Sơn and Quang Lê.


6. Ngọc Huyền
Renowned artist Ngọc Huyền, born on June 28, 1970, is a famous Vietnamese cải lương artist. Ngọc Huyền impresses the audience with a charming face, two dimples, long black hair, and a sweet, expressive voice.
Ngọc Huyền has won numerous prestigious awards in Vietnam, earning the title of outstanding artist and being recognized as someone who 'breaks cải lương out of old molds to approach the contemporary rhythm of life.' Over the years, Ngọc Huyền has frequently appeared on television channels in cải lương programs and on major stages in Vietnam. In 1985, she first performed on stage in the play 'Những đêm trăn trở' at the Thanh Nga Theater. Ngọc Huyền can perform various forms of tuồng, from classical tuồng to modern social dramas. Regardless of the type of tuồng, she always delivers an outstanding performance. Starting in 1992, Ngọc Huyền ventured into the fields of music and cinema. She is the most featured actress in domestic video programs, and fans affectionately call her the 'Video Queen of Chi Bảo.'
In December 2002, she organized the live show 'Eternal Dreams' at the Hoà Bình Theater in Ho Chi Minh City for three consecutive nights, attracting over 5,000 attendees. 7. Jimmii Nguyễn
Singer Jimmii Nguyễn, born Nguyễn Thanh Dũng Ngọc Long on November 1, 1970, is an overseas Vietnamese singer known for his elegant and sophisticated style. He is famous for romantic songs such as: Forever by my side, Rose of Lăng, Remembering you, Old love, Love like falling leaves, and more. In addition to singing, Jimmii Nguyễn has captivated the audience with his role as a successful composer.
With a heavenly voice and a burning passion for music, Jimmii Nguyễn started performing at a very young age. Jimmii Nguyễn and his father moved to the United States to settle, leaving his mother and siblings in their hometown. He founded the recording and distribution company JC Records in San Francisco, California, to discover, support, and develop musical talents in the fields of composition and performance. His first composition, Mãi mãi bên em (Forever by my side), was dedicated to his late sister and was part of his debut album with the same name. This album quickly became a music phenomenon, making Jimmii Nguyễn famous both domestically and internationally. 8. Cẩm Tiên
Artist Cẩm Tiên, born Võ Thị Cẩm Tiên on January 4, 1970, is recognized as a talented traditional Vietnamese opera artist. Despite facing numerous challenges, Cẩm Tiên has achieved considerable success in her career. Currently, in addition to her performances, she actively participates in charitable activities to support fellow artists and impoverished individuals.
From a young age, Cẩm Tiên was taught to sing vọng cổ (traditional Vietnamese chamber music) by her parents and often accompanied her father to participate in cải lương (traditional Vietnamese reformed theater) performances. In 1977, at the age of 7, she impressed the audience by singing two vọng cổ songs, 'Rẽ mạ đầu mùa' and 'Hoa Tím Bằng Lăng,' during a visit to the Tây Ninh cải lương troupe. This marked the beginning of her journey in the world of traditional Vietnamese opera.
Despite being actively involved in cultural activities throughout her secondary education, Cẩm Tiên excelled in local and school-level arts competitions. She achieved success in her first leading role on stage, earning support from composers and fellow artists. Cẩm Tiên continued to excel in various major roles, such as Hường in the play 'Vụ Án Mã Ngưu,' Dung in 'Đồng Tiền Đẩm Máu,' and more.
In 1990, Cẩm Tiên joined the Sông Hậu cải lương troupe, playing roles in plays like 'Công Chúa Tóc Vàng,' 'Đường Gươm Nguyên Bá,' and 'Lan Và Điệp.' Her talent was recognized with the gold medal at the Trần Hữu Trang Awards in 1995 and another gold medal at the national cải lương festival in 2005.
Beyond her artistic career, Cẩm Tiên holds another role as the Deputy Director of an environmental management company. She actively signs contracts for water treatment in remote areas of Cà Mau province affected by arsenic contamination. Despite her responsibilities, she continues to pursue her passion for performing.
