Hanoi University of Education was officially established on 11/10/1951 under Decree 276/NĐ of the Ministry of National Education, now the Ministry of Education and Training. However, the formation and development of the university began on October 10, 1945, just over a month after the Declaration of Independence gave birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. President Ho Chi Minh signed an order to establish the Faculty of Arts University in Hanoi, with the first task being to train high school literature teachers.
