(Homeland) - Sony is nurturing ambitious plans exclusively for the PlayStation 5 in the year 2023.
After nearly a decade since the debut of the PlayStation 4, Sony has unveiled the next version of this gaming console. PlayStation 5 quickly became a global sensation with record-breaking sales. However, it's undeniable that in 2022, PlayStation 5 didn't make many impressive highlights, as most games on this console could still run well on the PlayStation 4, such as Horizon Forbidden West and God of War Ragnarok. Nevertheless, 2023 could be a different year for the PlayStation 5 with numerous positive signals worth looking forward to.

DualSense Edge Controller
Microsoft introduced its Xbox Elite Controller several years ago, receiving numerous positive reviews from users. Of course, Sony also needs a product to compete directly with its rival, and it's called the DualSense Edge.

Starting from January 26, PlayStation gamers can get their hands on this new DualSense Edge controller. Perfectly designed with many features to be compatible with PlayStation consoles, Sony expects the DualSense Edge to bring innovation in 2023. However, the price of this controller is relatively high, reaching $199.99.
Highly Anticipated Third-Party Blockbuster Games
Certainly, upon the release of PlayStation 5, Sony planned to build an incredibly impressive exclusive game library for this console. However, that's not enough, and what PlayStation 5 players are most eagerly awaiting is Sony bringing blockbuster games from third-party studios.

Potential games like Hogwarts Legacy, Final Fantasy 16, have already set their release dates on PlayStation 5. Furthermore, there's information that Sony will invest in acquiring even more studios in 2023, thereby expanding its exclusive game library.
Introducing PlayStation VR2
Alongside new games, hardware, and accessories for PlayStation 5 are also eagerly awaited by many gamers, and PlayStation VR2 is the most mentioned name.

Virtual reality enthusiasts will soon have a new headset to experience as Sony is preparing to launch the PlayStation VR2 headset for $549.99 on February 22. Notably, PlayStation VR2 is only compatible with the PlayStation 5 console, and Sony itself is gradually enhancing its VR game library, with the standout title being Horizon Call of the West. PlayStation VR2 will not be compatible with VR games from the PlayStation 4 era.
