Beaches
Quang Nam Province boasts a 125-kilometer coastline stretching from Dien Ngoc (bordering Non Nuoc Beach, Da Nang City) to Dung Quat Bay (Quang Ngai Province).
Most beaches in Quang Nam feature white sandy shores, shallow waters, moderate salinity, and clear blue waters year-round. On clear nights, the sea here is remarkably beautiful with the shimmering lights of thousands of fishing boats, resembling sparkling cities of lanterns on the sea.
Some famous beaches:
- Ha My Beach: located in Dien Duong commune, Dien Ban district, 7 km north of Hoi An Ancient Town.
- An Bang Beach: located in Cam An ward, Hoi An City, 4 km northeast of the Old Town center.
- Cua Dai Beach: located in Cua Dai ward, Hoi An City, 4 km east of the Old Town center.
- Binh Minh Beach: located in Binh Minh commune, Thang Binh district, about 15 km east of Ha Lam town.
- Tam Thanh Beach: located in Tam Thanh commune, 7 km east of Tam Ky City center.
- Bai Rang Beach: located in Tam Quang commune, Nui Thanh district, adjacent to Chu Lai Airport, 2 km east of Nui Thanh town center.
Lang Water Spring
- Address: National Highway 14E, located in Phuoc Hoa commune, Phuoc Son district
Lang Water Spring has long been a stopping point for many tourists and locals during the hot summer months.
Dac Ga Spring
- Address: Long Vien Hamlet, Phuoc My commune, located near Kham Duc town, Phuoc Son district
When entering the stream, the landscape on both sides gives us a sense of the wilderness and grandeur of the Truong Son forest. Especially, this place also has hot springs that are very good for health.
Waterfall
- Address: Located right next to Ho Chi Minh Road at Km 283 in Phuoc Son district
This is a beautiful sight, from a distance, the Waterfall looks like a thin veil sometimes hidden sometimes revealed amidst the myriad green of the mountains and forests.
Lo Xo Slope
- Address: Phuoc Son district, located on Ho Chi Minh Road at Km 334, on the way to Kon Tum province
The length of the slope is estimated from the foot to the top of the slope from 9 to 10 km. The winding road meanders, below is the Dac Che stream with beautiful primeval forests. This place is an excellent investment destination for eco-tourism development.
Phu Ninh Lake
- Address: Phu Ninh district, Quang Nam
The national scenic historic site of Phu Ninh Lake is located 7 km west of Tam Ky City. Phu Ninh Lake is an irrigation work with a capacity of nearly half a billion cubic meters of water, with a lake surface area of 3,433 hectares along with 23,000 hectares of protective forests, and 30 beautiful small islands and peninsulas.
Thu Bon River
- Address: Duy Xuyen, Quang Nam
Originating from the peak of Ngoc Linh mountain, which is 2598 meters high, initially Thu Bon River was just a small, quietly flowing stream through the rugged cliffs in the southwest of Quang Nam province.
Ban Than Cape
- Address: Tam Hai commune, Nui Thanh district, Quang Nam
Along the stretch of blue water coastline, white sand running from north to south, suddenly stands out a black rock cliff, stacked on top of each other for more than 2 km, about 40 meters high with many peculiar shapes, combined with the stone veins forming unique sculptural works of nature.
Giang Thơm Lake
- Address: Located about 10 km west of National Highway 1A, in Nui Thanh town, Nui Thanh district
Giang Thơm Lake is a famous beautiful landscape of Quang Nam province. When visiting Giang Thơm Lake, the tiredness of travelers seems to dissipate by the lively sound of waterfalls and streams.
Rocky Stop Stone Island
- Location: Located at the border of Que Son and Hiep Duc districts, Quang Nam
Kem Da Dung Stone Island is a beautiful and poetic landscape, situated in the area of Quế Lâm and Quế Phước communes, Que Son district. On the way to the East Sea, here the Thu Bon River suddenly stops and expands like a wide, clear lake, reflecting the majestic beauty of the mountains and river banks.
Angel Stream
- Location: Que Hiep, Quang Nam
From the intersection of Huong An (in Que Phu commune, Que Son district) on National Highway 1A, following provincial road 611 westward for about 15 km, travelers enter the land of Que Hiep, where the scenic beauty of Angel Stream is associated with legends of fairies and woodcutters engrossed in playing chess.
Grang Waterfall
- Location: Tabhing commune, Nam Giang district, about 03 km from National Highway 14D
Grang Waterfall resembles a soft silk strip draped across the mountain's back, with the most beautiful being the 3rd cascade, about 30 meters high, where the water mist resembles gentle fog, emitting a beautiful light. Along the winding trail, travelers will pass through rice fields, cornfields, meandering along the stream, faintly tracing the hillside.
Khe Lim
- Location: Dai Hong commune, Dai Loc district
From Ai Nghia town, Dai Loc district, following National Highway 14B westward for about 20 km, travelers will reach the scenic beauty of Khe Lim. From afar, the waterfall appears like a thin veil, sometimes hidden, sometimes visible amidst the vast mountains and forests.
Bo Bo Hill
- Location: Dien Ban District, Quang Nam
Bo Bo is a cluster of four small hills situated adjacent to each other, covering an area of over 200 hectares, located in the area of Dien Tien and Dien Tho communes of Dien Ban District. Approximately 25 km northwest.
Tay Vien Hot Spring
- Location: Duy Xuyen, Quang Nam
Located less than 3 km west of the My Son temple complex (Duy Xuyen District) is the Tay Vien hot spring. Two clear hot springs flow year-round. The average temperature of the water is about 85°C. Local residents often refer to them as Mr. Spring and Mrs. Spring. The water contains many valuable minerals such as calcium, potassium, sulfur, and iron.
Cu Lao Cham
- Location: in the coastal area of Hoi An, about 21 km from Cua Dai
This is a group of 7 islands, including Big Island, Tai Island, Dai Island, Mo Island, Big Dry Island, and Small Dry Island. The total area is over 15 km², with forests covering about 90%. The largest island is Hon Lao, and the smallest is Hon Kho Con.
Historical Site
Quan Thang Ancient House
- Location: 77 Tran Phu, Hoi An
One of the most beautiful ancient houses in Hoi An, dating back 150 years and featuring a blend of Chinese and Vietnamese architectural styles.
Bridge Pagoda
- Location: Adjacent to Nguyen Thi Minh Khai and Tran Phu streets
Bridge Pagoda is a temple located on a bridge spanning a small stream in the urban area of Hoi An. The bridge was built by Japanese merchants in the early 17th century, hence it is still called the Japanese Bridge.
Tomb of the Secondary Queen of the Tay Son Dynasty
- Location: Located in Cam Thanh Village, Hoi An
Eco-tourism
West Viên Hot Spring
- Location: Duy Xuyen, Quang Nam
There is also a hypothesis that Tây Viên is the fairy garden of nature located to the west, as the picturesque scenery resembles a fairyland.
Song Thanh Nature Reserve
- Location: Located in the districts of Nam Giang and Phuoc Son, bordering the Democratic Republic of Laos
Song Thanh Nature Reserve harbors a total of 831 species of high-level plants, recorded through surveys conducted in 1997 and 1999 by WWF - Indochina and the Vietnam Forest Inventory and Planning Institute.
Duy Son II Eco-tourism Area
- Address: Duy Son Commune, Duy Xuyen District
Duy Son II hydroelectric plant was commenced after 1975, being the first hydroelectric project built by the people's efforts, demonstrating the innovative spirit and extraordinary determination of the local people at that time.
Thuan Tinh Eco-tourism Area
- Location: Amidst the Thu Bon River, on the way from Hoi An to Cua Dai
On a vast landmass of about 50 hectares, Thuan Tinh appears as a floating oasis amidst the downstream flow of the Thu Bon River.
Spiritual Tourism
Chuc Thanh Pagoda
- Location: Area 7, Tan An Ward, Hoi An City
The pagoda is structured in the style of 'front hall, main hall, back hall,' blending harmoniously two architectural styles of Vietnam and China with many intricately carved decorative motifs. Surrounding the pagoda are 16 stupas of the former abbots, prominently featuring the 12m-high stupa of Master Minh Hai.
Van Duc Pagoda
- Location: Hamlet 2B, Cam Ha, Hoi An
The original temple was a simple bamboo and thatch structure, founded by Zen master Minh Luong (a disciple of Master Minh Hai) of the 33rd Lam Te lineage at the end of the 17th century. The temple was expanded and rebuilt with lime bricks in the early 18th century, undergoing several renovations, yet retaining its solemn and venerable appearance.
Vien Giac Pagoda
- Location: 34 Huynh Thuc Khang, Hoi An
The precursor of Vien Giac Pagoda was a temple named Cam Ly located in Xuyen Trung-Cam Pho, situated close to the riverbank. Due to erosion, the villagers relocated to the current location and renamed it Vien Giac Tu (1814). Formerly a village temple, in 1950, the village transferred the temple to the local Buddhist Sangha for management.
Phuoc Lam Pagoda
- Address: Cam Ha Ward, Hoi An
The temple was constructed in the early 18th century, under the guidance of Zen master Minh Giao, the 35th disciple of the Lam Te lineage. The structure is arranged in the style of a 'gate', built by the carpenters from Kim Bong village - Hoi An.
Kim Buu Pagoda
- Location: Kim Bong village (Hamlet 3, Cam Kim commune)
The exact year of the temple's construction is unknown, but being a village temple intimately linked to the formation and development of Kim Bong carpentry village, it can be speculated that the temple was built in the 17th century.
Hai Tang Pagoda

Altar of Nam Dieu Ceramic Craft Village
- Address: Nam Dieu Hamlet, Thanh Ha Commune
Traditional Festival
Procession of Lady Thien Hau
- Location: Phuc Kien Assembly Hall and Ngũ Bang Assembly Hall
- Time: 23rd of March, lunar calendar
The festival is organized by the overseas Chinese community living in Hoi An to commemorate Lady Thien Hau - a person known for her ability to predict weather and storms.
Thu Bon River Festival
- Location: Held in Duy Xuyen district, Quang Nam province
This is a traditional folk festival to commemorate Lady Thu Bon, also known as Madame Bo Bo, who contributed to the development of agriculture and fisheries. The festival is organized through boat racing competitions between teams.
Vu Lan Festival
- Time: Every 7th lunar month full moon day
Every year on the full moon day of the 7th lunar month, the Vu Lan Festival is celebrated with warm affection as everyone directs their hearts towards their ancestors.
Fish Worship Ceremony
Held at the Shrine of the Fish on the auspicious day of the Fish's death or where the Fish passed away.
Tết Nguyên Tiêu
This is one of the important festivals in the Hoi An community, taking place on the first full moon night of the year.
Yen Ancestral Memorial Ceremony
This is a longstanding folk ritual aimed at seeking blessings from the heavens and commemorating, paying tribute to the ancestors who contributed to the swiftlet farming profession.
Thanh Ha Pottery Village Festival

Dragon Boat Procession Ceremony
Dragon Boat refers to a boat shaped like a dragon, a luxurious means reserved for kings or dignitaries. Making a Dragon Boat is based on the type of boat used by the king to transport deities, generals, and ancestral spirits to drive away evil spirits and bring blessings to human settlements.
Cau Bong Festival Preparatory Meeting
- Time: 7th day of the lunar new year

The people of Tra Que village hold the Cau Bong festival to express gratitude to their ancestors for founding the village and for bringing favorable weather conditions.
