On the last Saturday and Sunday of April (26th and 27th), Danang will host its first-ever Light Festival, featuring 5 teams from around the world. These teams will showcase light displays synchronized with music and the cityscape. Alongside, there will be art exchanges, artistic light exhibitions, gala dinners, tourist tours... The Light Festival is expected to attract tourists from all over to the dynamic city by the Han River at the end of April.

Tra Vinh – Soc Trang – An Giang – Kien Giang

Chol Chnam Thmay Tet is the traditional Tet holiday of the Khmer community in the Southern provinces such as Tra Vinh, Soc Trang, An Giang, Kien Giang. The Tet is held on the 14th, 15th, and 16th days of the 4th lunar month, also the Tet days of Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Myanmar but in Vietnam, Chol Chnam Thmay is also known as the Tet of 'accepting age'. During the three Tet days, people wear new clothes, offer prayers at the pagoda, and Khmer youth enjoy singing and dancing.
Laos – Thailand – Myanmar – Cambodia

The New Year festival of Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, and Myanmar takes place from April 13th to 15th every year with the tradition of water splashing considered an act of bringing luck in the new year. During the festival in these countries, you will witness people pouring water on each other, even using water guns to spray others along with New Year wishes.
Hong Kong

The Hong Kong International Film Festival, running from March 24th to April 7th, is one of the most prestigious and respected awards in Asia for filmmakers and actors. The festival brings together many film experts from around the world to attend and kick-start many grand film projects. This year, commemorating its 38th anniversary, the festival received 280 films from 50 countries. The event is held vibrantly across 11 venues throughout the city. It is considered the most exuberant festival of the year, attracting up to 600,000 people.
Philippines

The Moriones Festival on Marinduque Island (Philippines) lasts for a week, from April 14th to 20th, known as Holy Week. This is the most important festival for Filipinos. During the festival days, locals wear masks, unique costumes, and strange animal-shaped masks, simulating the image of Roman soldiers. They also wield wooden weapons to simulate past battles. You can also find statues of Roman warriors in lifelike proportions at Balanacan port.
Taiwan

The Dajia Mazu Pilgrimage Festival is the largest festival in Taiwan, taking place over 8 days and 7 nights from April 22nd. This is an occasion for the people of this island to commemorate Mazu, the goddess who protects sailors and fishermen at sea. The festival attracts hundreds of thousands of people from all over Taiwan. They carry symbolic statues of Mazu along a 300 km route, passing through 4 cities. The procession will pilgrimage from the Jenn Lann temple to Feng Tian and back. This festival is also held in Hong Kong, but known as the Tin Hau Festival. In Macao, locals refer to it as the A-Ma Festival.
