For most Hollywood stars, appearing nude on screen isn't a big concern if it's required by the role and fits the story. This is why Angelina Jolie and Leonardo DiCaprio are among the actors who have spent the most time nude on screen.
Ewan McGregor, leading the chart for male actors with the most on-screen nudity, once stated in the Telegraph that he has no qualms about undressing for a film.
'The truth is, I don't hesitate to strip if required. I refrain from it in some films because I find it meaningless. However, movies reflect our lives. I enjoy romantic films and sex is an essential part of the modern world. I don't want to be a guy who gets out of bed still covering his sensitive parts because people don't do that in real life. If you've just had intercourse with a woman in bed, you won't hesitate that she'll see your entire body when you get up to use the bathroom. At least I'm not like that,' explained the actor of Trainspotting.
Meanwhile, screen star Eva Green, famous for her 18+ scenes since the film The Dreamers (2003), has more complicated feelings about nudity on screen: 'It's paradoxical. I'm very shy and yet almost exposing myself before thousands of people literally. I really don't understand why I do that. I need to go through a therapy process!'
Below are statistics on the amount of time Hollywood stars have spent nude on screen throughout their acting careers:
