Gathering abundant praise on TripAdvisor, the tea room with a team of hearing-impaired staff has become an absolute must-visit for tourists when visiting Hoi An.
Tranquil Tea Retreat amidst Hoi An's Old Town
Situated on Tran Phu Street, surrounded by countless clothing stores, leather goods shops, and eateries, the Reaching Out tea house can easily be overlooked if not paying attention.

The tea house serves as a stark contrast to the bustling tourist streets and busy shops of Hoi An. Inside, a serene atmosphere and a sense of tranquility prevail.
All staff at the tea house are hearing-impaired. Unable to speak, they serve guests with attentive and friendly gestures. Visitors can feel the beauty of silence within the space. A frame adorned with the words 'Beauty of Silence' written in calligraphy hangs in the main area of the tea house.
The venue is divided into multiple distinct spaces for guests to choose from, all housed under a traditional Hoi An-style roof. There is a main area outside and two additional sections along with a small garden area deep inside.

For those who enjoy observing the bustling streets, they can opt for the main area with tables facing Tran Phu Street. If in a group of 3 to 5 people, large tables or low seating are recommended. For pairs of friends who cherish open spaces, close to nature, the tables in the small courtyard are ideal for conversation.
Beverages include various herbal teas, jasmine tea, oolong, fruit juices, and coffee. Drink prices range from 40,000 to 110,000 Vietnamese dong. Guests can also order some accompanying cakes to enjoy with their tea and coffee.
The decor inside the venue showcases elegance and reverence for tradition. The furnishings are mostly dark wood, with drinks, especially tea, presented in beautiful ceramic teapots. Each table is adorned with wildflowers.

Guests will have no difficulty in communicating with the staff as each table is equipped with a tray containing wooden tokens for requests, along with a small notepad and pencil. Simply write down your requests, and the staff will promptly attend to them.
Sipping hot tea on a rainy day in the tranquility here, I had the opportunity to contemplate and appreciate the meaning of 'Hòa nhập' – the Vietnamese name of the venue.
