Step 1: Access your Zalo group as an admin. In the chat window, tap the three dots icon.
Step 2: In the next window, select the gear icon.
Step 3: Scroll down and select Transfer Group Leadership.
Note:
Recent Zalo updates have changed the admin feature. Only one person can now be the admin of a group, unlike before.
The new admin in a Zalo group gains full management rights. You will lose admin privileges once someone else is approved as the group admin.
Be aware of these changes in the latest version.
To transfer group leadership in Zalo, click on a member's name in the group to approve them.
To delegate group management while retaining your Admin status, use the Add Deputy feature. Navigate to Group Management and select Leader/Deputy --> Add Deputy.
Choose the member(s) you wish to appoint as deputy by ticking their name(s). If a deputy is underperforming or inactive, you can remove them by clicking Delete next to their name.
All administrative appointments within the group are publicly displayed in the chat window, keeping every member informed.
