1. Changing the Start Menu
Step 1: Firstly, download Open Shell (formerly Classic Shell) to your computer and install it. This free tool allows you to modify the Windows 10 menu interface to resemble Windows 7.
Once downloaded and installed, on the Open Shell window, you will find 6 new items. Locate and click on Classic Start Menu Settings.
Step 2: On the Start Menu Style tab, choose Windows 7 style as shown below:
Step 3: Next, download the Windows 7 Start Menu orb to your computer and install it.

After the download process is complete, locate and click on Custom at the bottom corner of the Start Menu Style tab. Choose the downloaded image.
Step 4: On the Skin tab, select Windows Aero.
Step 5: Finally, click on OK to complete the process.
2. Changing the Desktop Background

Step 2: Right-click on the desktop, choose Personalize.
Step 3: On the screen, the Settings window will appear. Click on Background on the left panel, from the Background menu on the right panel, select Picture, then choose Browse and locate the downloaded background image.
3. Hide Cortana and Task View
To hide Cortana and Task View, follow these steps:
Step 1: Right-click on the Taskbar, choose Cortana =>Hidden to hide Microsoft's virtual assistant.
Step 2: Right-click on the Taskbar, choose Show Task View to disable the feature.
4. Customize Colors
Step 1: Right-click on the desktop, select Personalize.
Step 2: In the Settings window, find and click on Colors on the left panel.
Step 3: Choose Navy Blue as shown below.
Step 4: Next, change the color of the title bar, check the option Title bars at the bottom corner of the window.
5. Switching Microsoft Edge with Internet Explorer
Step 1: Right-click on the Microsoft Edge icon on the Taskbar, select Unpin the browse.
Step 2: Then type Internet Explorer into the Search box on the Start Menu.
Step 3: In the search results list, right-click on Internet Explorer and choose Pin to taskbar.
Step 4: Open the IE browser, click on Tools (the gear icon in the top-right corner), choose Internet options.
Step 5: In the Internet options window, click on the Programs tab.
Step 6: On the next window, click on Make Internet Explorer my default browser.
Step 7: Select Internet Explorer from the list, then choose Set this program as the default setting.
6. Fine-Tune Explorer

Download OldNewExplorer to your computer and install it here.
Step 1: Choose Use classical drive grouping in This PC.
Step 2: Select Use libraries; hide folders from This PC.
Step 3: Opt for Use command bar instead of Ribbon.
Step 4: Pick Show details pane on the bottom.
Step 5: In the Appearance style section, you have 3 options: Default, Silver cream, and Flat white.
Step 6: In the Status bar style section, choose Gray.
Step 7: Open File Explorer, navigate to Tools =>Folder Options. In the General tab, choose This PC from the Open File Explorer menu.
Step 8: Still in the General tab, find and uncheck the option Show recently used files in Quick access.
Step 9: Uncheck the option Show frequently used folders in Quick access.
