Truc Lam Chan Giac Monastery: 'Little India' Oasis in Tien Giang
Located in Hamlet 1, Thanh Tan Commune, Tan Phuoc District, Tien Giang Province, Truc Lam Chan Giac Monastery was built in 2012 following the traditional model of the Truc Lam Yen Tu sect under the auspices of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha.

Spanning across 50 hectares, the monastery boasts a vast campus adorned with ancient trees and massive rock formations. Truc Lam Chan Giac Monastery comprises two distinct areas: the inner sanctum and the outer precinct. The outer precinct includes various facilities such as the Main Hall, Sangha Hall, Meditation Hall, Lecture Hall, Library, Exhibition House, Bell Tower, among others. Notably, the Main Hall of the monastery can accommodate over 3,000 people.

One of the most remarkable features of Truc Lam Chan Giac Monastery is the colossal statue of Shakyamuni Buddha, crafted from jade stone and adorned with gold. Standing at 4.5 meters tall and weighing over 30 tons, this statue was meticulously sculpted by master artisans from Myanmar.

The most beloved photo spot, making the temple dubbed as 'little India,' is the main tower of the Meditation Monastery. This tower boasts a pristine white color, standing out prominently in the distance. The white paint layer enhances its majestic appearance. Alongside are intricate details and carvings on the exterior, making the tower even more beautiful and grandiose.
