E-visa in Turkey is a modern alternative to the traditional visa. With just a few online steps, tourists can effortlessly complete the visa application without the usual 3-week or 1-month processing time.
No need for paperwork or embassy visits; applicants simply provide basic information on the website https://www.evisa.gov.tr/en/ and make a secure payment of 20USD using MasterCard or Visa. The E-visa will then be sent to the applicant's inbox. Travelers only need to print and present the E-visa along with their passport and flight ticket at the Turkish customs to easily enter this land of unique natural wonders.
Additionally, applicants must keep the E-visa throughout their stay in Turkey for possible inspection. The E-visa is valid for 180 days from the date of issue, allowing a single entry for tourism or business purposes for a maximum of 30 days.
The crucial requirement for obtaining an E-visa is that applicants must hold a valid visa or residence permit from Schengen countries or the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) member countries. Moreover, this visa or residence permit must be valid at the time of entry into Turkey. An important note is that the E-visa is only valid when travelers use round-trip tickets from Turkish Airlines.
