Many people find it annoying when opening folders on their computers, like My Computer, which often has accompanying clicking sounds. Is the computer malfunctioning, or if not, how do you turn off that sound? Mytour assures that this is just one of the issues during the sound installation process and not a computer error.
Disable notification sounds when opening folders
Step 1: Right-click on the speaker icon in the taskbar --> Sound
Alternatively, click Start Menu --> Control Panel --> Hardware and Sound --> Change system sounds
Step 2: The Sound window opens, select the Sounds tab.
In the Program Events section --> Drag the slider to search for Start Navigation.
Simultaneously select None in the Sounds section at the bottom and uncheck the Play Windows Startup sound line.
Click OK to save the settings.
Done, the annoying sound when opening any folder has completely disappeared. To re-enable this sound, you just need to perform the same steps as above.
