Step 2:
Extract the packet and run the “USB Raptor.exe” file to begin configuring the software on Windows.
Step 4:
Upon the initial startup, Windows Firewall will prompt you to allow USB Raptor to run. Click “Allow access”.
At that point, the USB Raptor terms of use dialog will appear. Check the box for “I have read the disclaimer” and then click “I agree” to accept the terms.
Step 5:
Connect the USB to your computer, wait a few seconds for USB Raptor to recognize it.
Step 6:
Now onto the setup. First, enter the password to activate USB Raptor encryption on your computer. Then select the USB drive you've chosen as the “key” and click “Create k3y file” to initialize.
Lastly, check the option “Enable USB Raptor”.
At this point, the red icon next to Enable USB Raptor will turn green, and the message “USB Raptor is Armed!, If you remove the USB drive the system will be lock” will appear indicating that USB Raptor has been set up to protect your computer, and when you remove the USB, the computer will automatically lock.
To unlock, simply plug in the USB. If you want to stop using USB Raptor, launch the software and uncheck the “Enable USB Raptor” option, then wait for it to turn red.
