Tuxedo just launched their premium 17-inch Linux laptop, featuring a lightweight design, robust Intel Tiger Lake-H processors, and what else?

The manufacturer Tuxedo has recently introduced the lightweight InfinityBook S17 - Gen6 Linux laptop with powerful Intel Tiger Lake-H processors. This device can serve as a desktop replacement, although it lacks a dedicated GPU. However, users can utilize GPU through the Thunderbolt 4 port of the product.

While Tuxedo might be an unfamiliar name to many, in the Linux hardware world, it's one of the most renowned manufacturers, with a vision to make Linux laptops accessible to users worldwide.

The InfinityBook S17 - Gen6 features a 17.3-inch Full-HD IPS display with slim bezels and weighs only 2.25 kg. The machine boasts compact dimensions of 395 x 250.7 x 19.8 mm, making it the smallest 17-inch Tuxedo laptop in their product lineup.

Despite its slim and lightweight design, the InfinityBook S17 - Gen6 delivers ample power to handle tasks suited for desktop computers. The machine offers processor options including Intel Core i5-11300H with iGPU Iris Xe G7 80 EU and Core i7-11370H with iGPU Iris Xe G7 96 EU.

The device also combines with up to 64 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM and NVMe SSD storage up to 4 TB through a combination of PCIe 4.0 x4 + PCIe 3.0 x4 slots.

In terms of connectivity ports, the laptop features a Thunderbolt 4 port with DP, USB-C 3.2 Gen2x2 port, USB-A 3.2 Gen2 port, USB 2.0 port, HDMI 1.4b port, 2-in-1 audio, GbE headphone jack, and a convenient microSD card reader slot.

Moreover, the laptop features an optimized Lift-Up hinge for enhanced cooling during usage, a large 73 Wh battery capacity offering up to 6 - 7 hours of usage, FlexiCharger BIOS option to limit battery charging for increased longevity, WiFi 6 paired with Bluetooth 5.2 and GbE NIC, HD webcam with Windows Hello support, and TPM 2.0 security.

According to reports, the InfinityBook S17 - Gen6 with Intel Core i5-11300H chip, 8 GB RAM, Kingston NVMe PCIe 250 GB SSD, and pre-installed TUXEDO_OS 20.04 LTS is expected to be priced around 1119 Eur (approximately 28.7 million VND). Users can now pre-order on the company's website with delivery expected in about 2 – 3 weeks.
