The dance routine by TVB's young actors is judged as scanty and offensive. Viewers believe this is merely another gimmick by TVB to attract audiences.
As reported by 8Days, at the 55th-anniversary gala of TVB (Hong Kong, China), the sensual dance performance by young actors faced severe criticism for being excessively provocative and revealing, especially given the wide age range of viewers tuning in.

The dance stage named 'Beauty and the Beast' featured numerous young TVB actors and former Miss Hong Kong contestants. They wore slit blue coats paired with short shorts.
Halfway through the performance, they collectively shed their outerwear, leaving only their lingerie. Actress Phan Dieu Man stood out wearing a black mesh top and leather shorts, striding across the stage participating in the dance routine.

The performance continues to attract attention and debate regarding the attire of the girls. Alongside criticisms of the provocative dance stage, many argue that the broadcaster should take responsibility for exploiting excessive sexiness to lure viewers.
In 2016, TVB faced significant criticism for its excessive use of steamy scenes, frequently showcasing images of cleavage or seductive expressions in films. Ms. Lucy Lin, the leader of TVB at the time, notified all actors and artists about restricting female artists from wearing revealing clothes and reducing scenes of intimacy or coercion produced by the station.
Once a renowned empire, TVB is now in decline. In recent years, TVB's productions no longer hold dominance in the market as they did in the 1980s and 1990s.
The provocative and shocking elements employed by TVB have been complained about and criticized. However, the head, Mr. Tony Tang, shows no intention of reform but rather continues down a negative path to increase viewer ratings.
