Usually, activating Night/Dark mode while browsing the web requires using certain browser extensions. However, recently, social media platform Twitter is experimenting with Night Mode on desktop without requiring users to install any extensions when accessing Twitter.
The Night Mode feature for Twitter on desktop doesn't change the functionality of the website but only alters the appearance to be more eye-friendly. The usual white backgrounds are replaced with black backgrounds, making it more comfortable for users to read tweets without straining their eyes.
Users can access Twitter's Night Mode feature on desktop by clicking on their profile picture, then selecting the Night Mode tab at the bottom corner of the display window.
Currently, Twitter is testing the Night Mode feature on desktop for selected users.
Users can either wait for the Night Mode feature to be integrated into Twitter for desktop or download the mobile version of Twitter which already has the Night Mode feature.
