Additionally, the company is providing step-by-step guides on how to report rule-violating content and explaining the consequences thereafter. Moreover, Twitter is also planning to add more help pages for each rule to provide detailed information and relevant resources.
The reason behind Twitter's simplification of its policies stems from YouTube's implementation and enforcement of its own rules. Furthermore, Twitter has previously faced criticism for not taking action to prevent accounts from spreading hostile content as well as lacking specific policies to deal with racially discriminatory content on the platform.
