Some notes when using mercury thermometers:

- Rectal measurement: Electronic thermometers for rectal measurement often provide the most accurate results as it measures the core body temperature. However, the procedure is challenging, so this type is less commonly used.
- Ear measurement: This type uses sensors to measure the temperature of the eardrum. Electronic ear thermometers are widely used in children.
- Forehead measurement: Forehead thermometers are suitable for both adults and children. They are often used for quick temperature checks in a large number of people. Especially during disease outbreaks, many hospitals use forehead thermometers to control the temperature of the population. With the features of speed, ease, and no need for direct contact, they are convenient for disease prevention.
