To type Vietnamese with accents on a computer, we can use various supporting tools such as Unikey, Vietkey, GoTiengViet. Simply install these software programs and configure Telex typing style as well as Unicode character set (commonly used), typing Vietnamese with accents on a computer has become simpler than ever.
Typing Vietnamese on ccTalk using Unikey
Your computer must have the Unikey utility installed, this method applies to computers running Windows 7/8/8.1 operating systems. Download the latest version of Unikey
Step 1: If Unikey utility is currently running on your computer, you need to close it by right-clicking on the icon in the system tray and selecting Exit
Step 2: Right-click on the Unikey icon on the Desktop screen and select Properties
Step 3: In the Unikey Properties dialog, switch to the Compatibility tab and click on Change settings for all users
Step 4: A new window appears, you check the box next to Run this program as an administrator, then click OK
Step 5: Open Unikey, In the Character set section, select Unicode and check Start with Windows so that this program starts with the computer, enabling typing Vietnamese for applications on the system. Finally, click Close
