(Homeland) - Ubisoft has stirred excitement among fans by announcing Project Invictus.
Well-known for its plethora of acclaimed game franchises, Ubisoft undoubtedly captivates gamers with the extensive Assassin's Creed series. With impressive graphics, fast-paced action gameplay, and engaging mission systems, Assassin's Creed consistently raises high expectations with each new release. Now, Ubisoft has further fueled anticipation by officially revealing Project Invictus - a new game within the iconic Assassin's Creed franchise.

In particular, in a recent announcement from Ubisoft, the renowned publisher disclosed that a group of developers from the recent For Honor game have been assembled and are actively working on a multiplayer project, also under the Assassin's Creed brand. This latest endeavor is named Project Invictus.

Essentially, the Assassin's Creed series is still celebrated for its independent action style, prioritizing the game's storyline; however, the multiplayer feature is not entirely new to this franchise. Initially introduced in 2010, the multiplayer mode was experimented with in Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and then expanded upon in subsequent projects such as Assassin's Creed Revelations, Assassin's Creed III, and Assassin's Creed Unity. However, from 2013 onwards, the multiplayer mode has largely been neglected in this series.
This is also why many players are currently hopeful that Project Invictus will introduce new experiences while revitalizing the Assassin's Creed series, which has shown signs of slowing down in recent years. Alongside confirmation of the project's existence, Ubisoft remains secretive about Project Invictus. However, with plans to produce another blockbuster titled Assassin's Creed Mirage next year, it may be another 2-3 years before Project Invictus is officially unveiled to fans.
