The DTEK60, a device superior to the DTEK50, was introduced by BlackBerry at the end of October. Let's unbox and discover what's inside the packaging of the DTEK60.
1. Unboxing the BlackBerry DTEK60
The packaging of the DTEK60 is larger than the DTEK50, but they share similarities. Inside, you'll find basic accessories including a charger, USB-C cable, and in-ear headphones with the BlackBerry logo. Similar to the DTEK50, these devices are no longer manufactured by BlackBerry. Both have a similar design, except for components like the camera and screen border.
The DTEK60 is a premium device compared to the DTEK50, introduced by BlackBerry at the end of October. It is based on Alcatel's Idol 4s, with slight changes in buttons, logos, and the inclusion of BlackBerry software features. BlackBerry has chosen a new path, no longer producing hardware, so we won't mention the classic BlackBerry hardware quality from now on.
With a larger screen than the DTEK50, the overall size is slightly increased. Instead of the textured back, the DTEK60 features an elegant glass back that is more prone to fingerprints. The functional buttons, volume, and convenience buttons remain on the right side, while the power button on the left is positioned relatively high and can be challenging to reach. At the bottom, the micro-USB port is replaced with a USB-C port, positioned slightly off-center for unknown reasons.
Due to its higher specifications, including Snapdragon 820 and 4GB RAM, the performance of the DTEK60 is noticeably superior to the DTEK50. All operations are smooth and fast; even when launching the camera, we observe this difference. In terms of display quality, I would say it's similar to the DTEK50. I imported this device from Hong Kong, and it is currently priced at 13 million VND.

In addition to being larger in size, DTEK60 differs slightly from DTEK50 in the screen border. Both left and right borders, upon closer inspection, have transitioned from textured plastic to shiny glass, giving us the feeling of a 2.5D beveled screen. This design also makes the device more sleek, featuring a black screen border reaching the metal frame.

The backs of the two devices: DTEK50 with a small 16MP camera and textured back, while DTEK60 has a protruding 21MP camera, fingerprint sensor, and glossy back.

At the bottom, both devices have off-center connection ports—one USB-C and the other micro-USB.

On the left side is the power button, still positioned quite high. It may require a stretch to press with one hand.

On the right side are the convenience button and volume controls. Both devices feature diamond-cut metal edges.

On the front face, there are no discernible differences.
