The Galaxy Note9 stands as Samsung's flagship smartphone, set to hit the VN market with a price range of 24-30 million VND.
1. Unboxing the Galaxy Note9: Samsung's Mightiest Note Yet
The Galaxy Note9 is Samsung's top-tier smartphone, soon to be available in VN with a price ranging from 24-30 million VND.
Samsung recently unveiled the Galaxy Note9 at the Galaxy Unpacked event in New York, USA. Dubbed as the mightiest Galaxy Note to date, it not only boasts a large display and powerful specs like its predecessors but also features an upgraded camera with adjustable aperture, a massive 4000mAh battery, up to 1TB of storage, a new S-Pen with added features, all with a price tag of 1000 USD, placing it among the highest in the current market.
We recently had the opportunity to unbox the Galaxy Note9 in the United States. Join us as we take a look inside the packaging of this premium Samsung smartphone.
The Galaxy Note9 box stands out with an image of the S-Pen. The version we unboxed is the Ocean Blue color with a gold S-Pen, a reflection evident in the box design as well.
The Galaxy Note9 box closing mechanism is similar to previous high-end Samsung smartphones.
Accessories inside include a fast charger, USB-C cable, S-Pen tips and tool, microUSB to USB-C adapter, USB-C to USB-A adapter, AKG 3.5mm standard earphones, and a SIM ejector.
The Galaxy Note9 features a 6.4-inch Infinity Display, slightly larger than the 6.3-inch screen on the Galaxy Note8.
Comparing the Galaxy Note8 (left) and Galaxy Note9 (right), you can see the front faces are very similar.
However, Samsung has managed to trim down the bottom bezel of the Note9 slightly.
The back of the Note9 showcases the most noticeable design change. The fingerprint sensor is now placed below the camera cluster, providing easier access for users.
The camera cluster is now situated on a color-matched panel (in this case, green), unlike the black color on all color variants of the Note8.
The difference is clear when placing the Note9 and Note8 side by side.
On the left side of the Note9 are the volume buttons and the button to activate the Bixby virtual assistant, similar to the Note8.
The bottom edge of the device features the USB-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, external speaker, and the S-Pen.
The Ocean Blue variant of the Galaxy Note9 comes with a yellow S-Pen, creating a distinctive highlight. Other color variants of the Note9 will have an S-Pen matching the color of the device.
When jotting down notes on the Always-on Display, the color of the strokes will match the pen color.
This year, the S-Pen on the Note9 gets a robust upgrade with Bluetooth technology. Users can remotely control certain applications like taking photos, listening to music, or giving presentations. The S-Pen has a 30-minute battery life and can fully charge in 40 seconds. It's worth noting that even when the S-Pen is out of battery, users can still use it for normal writing/drawing, with only the new Bluetooth-related features disabled.
Another application of the S-Pen on the Note9 is the ability to unlock the device remotely by pressing the button on the pen.
Users can customize the S-Pen's behavior when pressing the button once or twice through the settings app.
In addition to new Bluetooth-related features, Samsung has enhanced the S-Pen's tip for increased precision.
The Galaxy Note9 still features iris scanning and facial recognition technology, as seen in previous generations.
The Galaxy Note9's camera, similar to the Galaxy S9+, features dual aperture, optical zoom, and portrait mode. However, on the Note9, Samsung has integrated AI to deliver even more stunning photos.
Additionally, the Galaxy Note9 comes with various upgrades such as a 4000mAh battery, 128/512GB internal storage, dual speakers, and more. The expected retail price for the Galaxy Note9 in Vietnam is 24,490,000 VND and 29,490,000 VND.
