The J3 Pro fails to make a lasting impression due to its similar price range with the J5 Prime. It brings no upgrades in terms of configuration and even lacks a fingerprint sensor.

The J3 Pro fails to make a strong impression, given its price similarity with the J5 Prime. It lacks upgrades in configuration and even misses a fingerprint sensor.
After the success of the Galaxy J7 Pro, Samsung has recently introduced the new Galaxy J3 Pro in the Vietnamese market. Priced at 4.49 million VND, 2.5 million VND cheaper than its predecessor, the Galaxy J3 Pro features a design inspired by the J7 Pro
One thing for users to consider when buying the Galaxy J3 Pro is that at this price range, Samsung has another product, the Galaxy J5 Prime. Although it was launched at the end of 2016, when compared to the Galaxy J3 Pro, these two devices share many similarities, from configuration and camera to battery capacity. Moreover, the Galaxy J5 Prime is highly rated for its integrated fingerprint sensor, a feature lacking in the Galaxy J3 Pro. Therefore, we assess the Galaxy J3 Pro as an upgrade that lacks real distinction and has a 'same wine, different bottle' characteristic.

On the back, there is some information about the product

Accessories accompanying this device include a charger, microUSB cable, and headphones

The Galaxy J3 Pro features a 5-inch display, TFT LCD technology, and HD resolution. This screen is entirely similar to the Galaxy J5 Prime, both in size and noticeably inferior quality compared to the Galaxy J7 Pro.
The Always-on Display feature on the J7 Pro is also absent on the J3 Pro.

The Galaxy J3 Pro also lacks a fingerprint sensor on the Home button. This is a regrettable omission, as the previous Galaxy J5 Prime was equipped with this feature.

On the flip side, the Galaxy J3 Pro features an LED Flash for the selfie camera

The Galaxy J3 Pro has a camera design similar to the J7 Pro, although the hardware specifications are less impressive. Instead of an f/1.7 aperture lens, the J3 Pro's camera has a smaller f/1.9 aperture.

Unlike the Galaxy J7 Pro, the back of the Galaxy J3 Pro is not entirely crafted from metal; the upper and lower edges of this back are made of plastic.

The border surrounding the device is also made of plastic

The device is equipped with an Exynos 7570 chip featuring 4 Cortex-A53 cores running at 1.4GHz

It has a 2GB RAM capacity and 16GB of internal storage

Comparing with the Galaxy J5 Prime, it's evident that the Galaxy J3 Pro lacks a significant upgrade. Users can opt for the J5 Prime over the J3 Pro, especially if they require a fingerprint sensor.
