While Sony's position in the smartphone market may not be the same as it was 10 years ago, each release of a premium Sony smartphone always attracts attention.
Recently, the Japanese manufacturer officially unveiled its 2022 flagship – the Sony Xperia 1 IV. Join us as we quickly unbox and get hands-on with Sony's flagship for 2022.

1. Unboxing the Xperia 1 IV: Are all accessories, including the charger, included in the retail box?
Amidst the trend of omitting accessories and even chargers from many smartphones on the market today, users are truly concerned whether the Sony Xperia 1 IV follows this trend.
The answer is YES
In GSMArena's review of the Xperia 1 IV, the European version of the Xperia 1 IV retail box includes only the phone, without a charging cable, charger, or any accessories... this is why the Xperia 1 IV box is extremely slim as it only contains the phone.

With support for 30W fast charging, users need to spend money to purchase a charger and charging cable for the phone, priced at 50 Euros – approximately 1.2 million Vietnamese dong.
With the price of the 8GB/256GB version in Europe at 1399 Euros, the total amount users need to pay to buy the Sony Xperia 1 IV will be around nearly 35 million dong when converted to Vietnamese currency. Of course, this is only the price in Europe, it will certainly be more expensive in Vietnam.
2. Hands-on review of the design of the Sony Xperia 1 IV
While other manufacturers have been constantly changing their designs to match users' preferences for large screens, Sony has remained faithful to its signature design language with its sleek and sexy tall form factor.

On the front, we observe a large screen with extremely slim edges, providing enough space for the selfie camera, although the bottom edge remains quite thick. It may not be as attractive as bezel-less smartphones or even curved ones, but in the position of an average user, this design is extremely convenient.

The sides of the Xperia 1 IV remain flat, giving a square overall appearance yet still sleek thanks to softly curved corners. The device retains a side-mounted power button with an integrated fingerprint sensor, with volume control buttons above.

At the bottom, the device features a USB Type-C charging port along with a Hybrid SIM tray – serving as both the SIM slot and a slot for a micro SD card. Meanwhile, at the top is the headphone jack – something Sony has never omitted from its products.

Additionally, the Xperia 1 IV's back remains unchanged from the previous generation, with the main camera array arranged vertically in a cluster, the flash positioned above, and the back covered in Gorilla Glass Victus for a grippy yet fingerprint-resistant surface.

On the front, the Sony Xperia 1 IV also utilizes Victus tempered glass, along with an aluminum frame, providing users with a product that can be considered the highest-end on the market today. Of course, the device is also equipped with IP68 water resistance – the highest standard on smartphones today.
CONCLUSION
Sony Xperia 1 IV can be described as having a timeless exterior, understanding users and truly epitomizing luxury in today's market. This will naturally delight Sony's loyal fans.
