When Zuka is mentioned, most people immediately recognize him as one of the hottest solo Warrior champions in the game. In tournaments, this bear-like hero is favored by many pro players for his versatility.
Apart from his incredibly strong burst damage and high mobility, Zuka also excels at diving into the enemy backline. So, what if we try to build a completely new Zuka with a full critical build? Would it be effective? Let's delve into this in detail.

What Exactly is Zuka's Full Critical Build?
A Zuka built for critical strikes will apply immense pressure with each leap into combat. Naturally, this style involves gearing, rune selection, and enchantments focused on enhancing critical damage and chance.
Runes
- 10 x Red III: Critical Chance/Damage
- 10 x Purple III: Physical Attack/Speed
- 10 x Green III: Physical Attack/Armor Pierce

These runes provide Zuka with 36% critical damage and 7% critical chance, making him significantly stronger in the early stages of the match. Additionally, they offer decent physical attack stats with 2 points from purple and green runes, allowing him to deal stable damage early on without sacrificing survivability.
Enchantments
The most popular and suitable enchantment for Zuka is Fate's Bane:
- Main Branch: Abyssal Clash. Level 1 - Ghostwalk, Level 2 - Might, Level 3 - Fate's Bane
- Sub Branch: Arcane Start. Level 1 - Frost Orb, Level 2 - Huntsman

Equipping this enchantment set optimizes Zuka's damage output by reducing cooldowns for all abilities after using the third ability. Thus, Zuka can comfortably unleash his abilities continuously.
Another equally good option is Fate's Mark, which allows Zuka to deal even more damage with his basic attacks against enemy heroes:
- Main Branch: Abyssal Clash. Level 1 - Inferno, Level 2 - Might, Level 3 - Fate's Mark
- Sub Branch: Arcane Start. Level 1 - Cipher, Level 2 - Huntsman

Full Critical Build for Zuka
When equipped with this item build along with the previously mentioned runes, Zuka will have over 100% critical chance:
Gilded Greaves/Hermes' Select - Slikk's Sting - Fafnir's Talon - Curse of Death - Blade of Eternity - Bow of Slaughter/Devil's Handshake
This means that every ability and basic attack from this bear will auto-crit, making him stronger than ever. Moreover, as you may know, items with critical chance also come with attack speed. Therefore, Zuka not only deals massive damage but also attacks rapidly, akin to a Marksman unleashing thousands of basic attacks on the enemy team.
In the 6th equipment slot, you can opt for Bow of Slaughter or Devil's Handshake depending on the situation and the state of the match. If you aim to deal more effective damage, especially to isolated enemy team members, Bow of Slaughter is preferable as it boosts Zuka's armor-piercing attack stat. On the other hand, if you prefer a safer, more resilient approach, allowing you to brawl and survive longer in combat, then Devil's Handshake is an excellent choice due to its 40% damage reduction.
Evaluation
Playing Zuka with this style enables him to achieve 100% critical chance from both basic attacks and abilities, combined with extremely fast attack speed. Another advantage is that this item build significantly enhances Zuka's flexibility, especially when combined with the rune set providing 10% movement speed and Hermes' Select. Additionally, there are extra stats provided by items such as Curse of Death (5% Movement Speed), Fafnir's Talon (7% Movement Speed), and Blade of Eternity (5% Movement Speed). This makes Zuka incredibly elusive, even faster than Alice the 'Devil.' Consequently, this strategy allows Zuka to leverage his mobility to easily initiate combat, attack, and then swiftly retreat.

Despite being strong in terms of damage output, it's crucial to remember that a full critical build Zuka is quite fragile as he lacks any defensive items. Choosing an inappropriate moment to engage in combat can easily result in Zuka taking significant damage before unleashing his abilities. Additionally, relying on basic attacks for damage output makes it challenging for Zuka to initiate bursts of damage. Furthermore, his ability to push towers is significantly reduced.
