Services like empty seat upgrades, flight changes, and seat upgrades are already being implemented in Vietnam at low costs. However, not every request may be accommodated.
1. Empty Seat Option (ESo)
Also known as the Empty Seat Option (ESo), this service allows passengers to enjoy spacious and comfortable flying with adjacent empty seats (typically up to 3 seats per passenger). To use this service, you will have to pay a small fee.
Customers will receive an email notification about the possibility of using empty seats within 48 to 12 hours before departure. In case the flight cannot accommodate the purchase of empty seats, customers will be fully refunded within 5 working days from the flight date.
2. Affordable Upgrade Services (UTo)
Passengers purchasing Economy tickets may be upgraded to Business or Premium Economy class at significant savings compared to purchasing Business/Premium Economy class tickets directly. If upgraded, passengers will have the opportunity to experience premium services, first-class meals... Upgrades depend on flight availability, so registering for the service does not guarantee an upgrade. Ground priority services, complimentary baggage allowances, lounge access... are not included in this feature. Service fees will be refunded if you are not upgraded on the flight.
3. Flight Change Option (FRo)
For passengers who do not require fixed flight schedules (able to switch to another flight while already booked on one), they can receive a refund when agreeing to change their flight schedule. To participate in this service, passengers must select an alternative flight from the displayed list to complete registration. Then, they will receive an email notification if they have been transferred to the alternative flight from 96 to 24 hours before the flight.
4. Preferred Flight Option (PFo)
This feature allows you to have your preferred flight at a lower price than usual when you had to purchase tickets for a flight that did not really fit your plans. This feature applies depending on the flight and the time. Once the preferred flight is confirmed (On PFo), the airline may choose to transfer passengers to the selected alternative flights. Customers will be confirmed via email about the transfer to the alternative flight before the notification time (72 or 24 hours before the departure date). With this feature, please note if there are connecting flights.
