Step 1
– Firstly, ensure you have disconnected the power supply to the air conditioner
– Then, hang a bag with a wide opening to catch water and dirt during the cleaning process
– Begin checking the outdoor and indoor units to ensure no foreign objects are present inside the machine (e.g., dead insects)

Use your hand to gently press the latches for removing the air filter in the air conditioner. Soak them in water and use a dishwashing sponge to scrub off the dirt on the filter, then let it air dry.
Step 3
On the outside of the fan blades and machine block is a protective system. You also need to clean this part for better air conditioner performance.
The quickest way to clean is to use Coil Cleaner (a liquid containing alkali specially formulated for quickly cleaning aluminum cooling fins). Then lightly spray it into the gaps between the metal fins, avoiding spraying on the electronic circuit board of the air conditioner. Wait for about 20 minutes, then wipe it off with a warm cloth.
Step 4
Take a dry cloth to thoroughly wipe the parts you want to clean. Reassemble the rinsed filter mesh and the air conditioner cover in place, then wipe the entire exterior clean.
Step 5
Now, turn on the air conditioner again, allowing the remaining water to drain out. When you hear the machine running smoothly without any strange noises, remove the dust shield bag. Your air conditioner maintenance is now complete, shining clean from inside out!
Notes for home air conditioner maintenance
When cleaning, avoid using strong water jets near the area with the circuit board (located above the compressor) as it may impact the circuit board.
Never allow the evaporator unit to come into excessive contact with sunlight or rain to prevent damage to the circuit board.
For units with valves, since they cannot be completely sealed, allow slight leakage. When checking, pay attention to the condition of the pipes and valves for any leaks to limit overheating and damage to the cooling system.
