Deciphering Visa and Passport: Essential Procedures Unveiled
Unraveling Visa: What Does It Entail?
Visa, also known as an entry permit, is a certification issued by immigration authorities of a country to confirm the entry of a specific individual into that country for a certain period.
Currently, Visas are divided into two main types:
- Immigrant Visa: Used for entry and settlement in a foreign country.
If a Visa serves as a certificate for individuals seeking entry but not being citizens of that country, issued by the respective authority of that nation, then Passport is the document granted by the competent authority of the country where the citizen resides. Currently, there are three common types of Passports:
- Regular Passport has a validity of 10 years from the date of issue. This type is often utilized by students studying abroad and permanent residents.
- Official Passport is issued to individuals serving in governmental agencies for official duties abroad.
- Diplomatic Passport is granted to government diplomatic officials stationed abroad for official purposes.
