'We had been talking for about 10 days when my parents drove me to visit my husband's unit. Honestly, when I first met my husband, I was a bit disappointed. He had just finished gun training for the soldiers, so he was sunburned and looked both dark and tired.
On the day I visited again, my husband had just sent the soldiers to work in the fields, so he hadn't had time to shower or change. He was covered in dust. The smooth and surprising love and marriage journey of the couple received support and 'ship-pushing' from both families. On the day of discussing the wedding proposal, Phuc's parents brought Nhung to Phuc's unit. This time, the 25-year-old young man wore a handsome officer uniform.
Phuc stood in front of his parents and expressed his desire to marry Nhung. Although she felt the same way, she requested a private conversation with her parents and insisted that her boyfriend propose properly.
'Where's the engagement ring?' Nhung asked. At that moment, Phuc took the ring he was wearing on his finger and placed it on her hand. They embraced each other, laughing with joy.
