Today, real-life hands-on images of this device have surfaced online unexpectedly. This gives us a close-up look at the successor to the Xiaomi 13 Ultra.

These images were shared by informant Jim Zhang on CoolApk, an app dedicated to the Chinese market. The phone seems to be placed in a protective casing, indicating it's a prototype. The pictures also reveal the presence of a periscope-telephoto lens for optical zoom.

Xiaomi appears to be testing the photography capabilities of its soon-to-be-launched Xiaomi 14 Ultra, as users in the images are also holding the Xiaomi 14 Pro. The user interface of the app is also similar to what we see on Xiaomi's high-end smartphones.
Xiaomi has yet to disclose any detailed information about Xiaomi 14 Ultra. The company usually unveils its flagship Ultra lineup 3-4 months after releasing its main Mi-Series. Recall that the Xiaomi 13 Series was launched in China in December 2022, followed by Xiaomi 13 Ultra in April 2023.

According to renowned leaker Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi 14 Ultra will feature a 50MP main camera with OIS, using the Sony LYT 900 sensor and variable aperture. DCS mentions that the f/1.63 aperture on the device will be equivalent to an f/4.3 full-frame aperture on a DSLR camera.
