Step 1: Right-click on the Windows icon at the bottom left corner of your screen and select Control Panel
Step 2: In the Control Panel interface, click on Uninstall a program to prepare for uninstalling IDM on Win 10
Step 3: In the Programs and Features window, locate
Step 4: Next, proceed to the software's Select Uninstall Method setup wizard, where various options are presented. Choose Full and then click Next to proceed to the next step.
Step 5: The uninstallation process begins. Wait a moment until the uninstaller dialog box Perform Uninstall appears. Click Finish to complete the removal of IDM from Win 10.
Step 6: After removing IDM from the system, proceed to clean up any remaining IDM remnants in the registry. Press the Windows + R key combination to open the Run dialog box, type regedit in the Open field, and press OK.
Step 7: The Registry Editor window appears. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DownloadManager. Right-click on DownloadManager and select Delete.
Afterward, proceed to the path HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Internet Download Manager. Right-click on Internet Download Manager and select Delete.
Step 8: Delete the IDM folder in drive C:
Finally, navigate to drive C: with the path C:\Program Files (x86), locate the folder Internet Download Manager, and press Shift + Delete to completely remove that folder.
