1. Unique Finger Cookie Recipe for Halloween
Halloween isn't just about pumpkins and spooky costumes, but also about terrifyingly delicious treats, all depending on your skill and imagination.
If black mysterious outfits and creepy makeup no longer make your friends wide-eyed, you can surprise them with a box of finger cookies made simply in a family oven. It'll definitely make some people jump!
Ingredients and baking tools:
- 75g softened butter at room temperature
- 60g caster sugar
- 1 egg
- A bit of vanilla extract
- 150g plain flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- Peanuts, strawberry jam for serving
- Electric oven, large bowl, mixing tools...

Instructions:
Step 1: Mix butter and egg
Put softened butter and sugar into a large bowl and mix evenly. Add 1 egg, a bit of vanilla extract, then mix well.
Step 2: Knead dough
Sift 150g plain flour and 1 teaspoon baking powder for smoothness. Add the sifted flour to the butter and egg mixture, then mix well. Knead the dough once again by hand, then wrap it in cling film and refrigerate for 30 minutes to rest.

Step 3: Shape the fingers
Take the dough out of the fridge, take a small amount and shape it into finger-like shapes by elongating it.
Then use your fingers to make dents at the end of the dough ball and add a peanut as the nail. Use a spoon to carve small lines on the dough ball to create fingerprint patterns.

Step 4: Bake the cookies
Preheat the electric oven to 160 degrees before placing the cookies in. Once the oven is hot, bake the cookies for 15 - 20 minutes. Make sure to select the correct baking mode for the best color and flavor.
After baking, spread a layer of strawberry jam on the peanut part of the cookies for serving and decoration.
Store the cookies in a dry place like a food storage box and they can be kept for 2 weeks. The cookies taste best when eaten fresh out of the oven.
