However, since the Fall Creators Update of Windows 10, users can easily utilize emojis in any text editor on their computers with just a few basic steps.

Step 1: Ensure your Windows 10 is updated to Fall Creators Update (Version 1709) or later.

Here, I'm using the Version 1809 update
Step 2: After that, open any text editor on your computer such as Word, Notepad, Excel, Powerpoint, or even chat boxes, status updates on social media, Gmail, etc.

Select the text editor where you want to insert Emoji
Step 3: Place the cursor at the position where you want to add an Emoji, then press the keyboard shortcut 'Windows + ; ' or ' Windows + . '

Press the keyboard shortcut 'Windows + ; ' or ' Windows + . ' to open the Emoji selection panel
Step 4: Next, you can choose from the available emojis or enter English keywords to filter and select your favorite emoji.

Type keywords to filter Emoji (1), then select your preferred Emoji (2)
Note: If you're using Windows 10 with the April Update 2018 (Version 1803) or later, you can enter keywords in multiple languages other than English.
