Meanwhile, Charlotte will be accompanied by Furina, as the team desperately needs her healing abilities. Unlike Baizhu, miHoYo designed Charlotte to heal using her elemental burst to avoid encroaching on Baizhu's territory. They intentionally crafted her to require a massive energy recharge, while also scaling with attack stats to deter players from using Dragon's Bane effectively.
Regarding the rerun characters, we know that Baizhu, Ayato, and Cyno will make a comeback in this version. The detailed banners are as follows:
- First half: Furina, Baizhu. The weapon banner will feature Glittering Aqua and Jade Orb Splendor. The leaked 4-star characters are Charlotte, Collei, and Beidou.
- Second half: Ayato, Cyno. The weapon banner will include Haran and Crimson Nacre. The leaked 4-star characters are Xiangling, Kuki Shinobu, and Kirara.
New Content in Genshin Impact Version 4.2
In this version, players will embark on new Archon Quests and temporarily halt the Genshin Impact storyline quests in the Fontaine region. A new weekly boss will debut, providing upgrade materials for Furina, Charlotte, and other Fontaine characters in the future. Of course, this is not the end – following miHoYo's tradition, new quests will be released in the upcoming patches and conclude in patch 4.6 with another weekly boss.
A new map will also unfold, located to the east of the Fontaine Grand Courtyard, where players can find ascension materials for Furina and Charlotte. This is the place with a towering spire that has piqued our curiosity since patch 4.0.

The main event in this version will reward players with a 4-star character, Freminet. She is a Cryo claymore DPS, showcasing intriguing Cryo reactions. Additionally, a new 4-star weapon, Narzissenkreuz, will be introduced. Currently, the method to obtain this weapon is unknown, but it appears to be a valuable tool for Travelers of different elements (excluding Hydro), capable of triggering Ousia or Pneuma effects.

For enthusiasts of the Spiral Abyss, there will be new cards to utilize in this version. A total of 11 new cards will be introduced, featuring 3 character cards – Nilou, Dori, and Baizhu – unlockable by defeating the corresponding characters, along with 8 new effect cards.

Genshin Impact Vietnam Transitions to Funtap
This information wasn't disclosed in the livestream, but Mytour believes it's noteworthy. As announced by miHoYo, when patch 4.2 officially launches, Genshin Impact players in Vietnam will need to switch to the new version called Genshin Impact Funtap to continue playing. You won't lose any progress in your account; it's a measure to comply with Vietnamese laws.

When this transition occurs, miHoYo suggests players uninstall the old version and install the new one. However, if you're an Android player and want to avoid downloading several gigabytes again, Mytour has a handy tip:
Install alternative app stores like Taptap, Qooapp, search for Genshin Impact, and click 'update' without uninstalling the old version. For users, updating Genshin Impact 4.2 is seamless through the Galaxy Store without any alterations.
Final Words
Following the 6-week schedule, Genshin Impact version 4.1 officially concludes at 5 AM on 11/8/2023, with version 4.2 launching around 10 AM on the same day. Best of luck with your gacha pulls, and see you in upcoming articles.
