Since the release of Google Chrome 26, Google has incorporated the Google Launch feature, allowing users to effortlessly interact with applications like Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, or Google Search directly from the desktop without accessing Chrome.
This article will guide you on enabling the Google Launch feature for those who are yet to explore how to make the most of the latest features available in Google Chrome.
Enabling Google Launch in Chrome
Step 1: Open the Google Chrome browser. In the URL address bar, type 'chrome://flags' --> Enter. The webpage managing Chrome's available features will open.
Step 2: On this webpage, look for the line 'Show Chrome Apps Launcher,' currently in Disable mode; switch it to Enable.
Once activated, this feature will automatically detach and appear in the Windows Taskbar.
Google Launch display helps you save a lot of time accessing Chrome's available apps without directly opening the browser. Additionally, Google Launch integrates a Settings function for you to customize the existing Chrome settings at your convenience.
Your Google account, or your Gmail account, when logged into the browser, synchronizes all your web browsing information with your Google account. If you use another computer to log in to Google, make sure to log out when not in use. If you're unsure how to do this, refer to the signing out of Google guide here.
