Galaxy Z Flip5 can showcase Google Maps on its secondary displayJust a few days ago, Sammobiles reported exclusively that Samsung has partnered with Google to bring essential apps, including Google Maps, to the outer screen of the Z Flip5. Now, leaker @chunvn8888 has confirmed that Google Maps will indeed be accessible from the outer screen of this vertically folding display model. However, it remains uncertain whether all apps can be accessed on the outer screen like on the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra, or if Google Maps will only display crucial navigation updates on it.
In addition to Google Maps, other Google apps such as Messages and YouTube can also be accessed on the outer screen of the Galaxy Z Flip5. Samsung's native apps may also make an appearance on this screen. The company has been working to enable widgets to be accessed on its current lineup of Galaxy Z Flip phones. Notably, Galaxy Z Flip5 is the first phone in the Galaxy Z Flip series to feature Samsung DeX functionality. Stay tuned for more updates!
