In Zalo version 23.12.1, developers have introduced an additional feature allowing users to connect with more people, engage in large-scale Zalo group conversations, and connect with 1000 members simultaneously.

I. Understanding Zalo Community Groups
Zalo Community Groups, the new feature with an expanded capacity of up to 1000 members, provide immense utility for businesses, companies, or gaming communities. They can now exchange, interact, and share with a larger audience simultaneously.
II. Requirements for Upgrading Zalo Groups to Community
- Current Zalo groups are limited to 100 members
- Only group leaders have the authority to upgrade to the community
- Group leaders with verified Zalo accounts can initiate the upgrade to the community
- Important Note
- Once upgraded to the community, it's not possible to revert back to a regular group
III. Detailed Steps to Upgrade Zalo Group to Community
1. Upgrading Zalo Group to Community on Mobile
Step 1: Open Zalo, enter the group chat with 100 members
Step 2: Tap the 3 horizontal lines at the top-right corner to open Options => click Upgrade to Community. Alternatively, go to Member Browser, select Agree.
- Note: The upgrade option appears when the group reaches 100 members.
Step 3: On the notification panel, choose Upgrade to Community.
Step 4: Select Confirm Upgrade in the following notification panel.
- Successful notification of Zalo group upgrading to the community. Choose Continue and approve new members to join your group.
2. Upgrading Zalo Group to Community on PC
Step 1: Open the Zalo group chat.
Step 2: In the right corner, click the right-angle icon to open Conversation Info.
Step 3: Choose Upgrade Now.
- Note: When the group reaches 100 members, the upgrade option appears.
Step 4: Follow the instructions and verify your Zalo account on your phone as required.
Step 5: Upon successful verification, click Confirm Upgrade.
