Before you proceed with Low Level Formatting (LLF), remember that it may void your hard drive's warranty. In extreme cases, it can deeply interfere with the drive's structure. Begin by downloading the HDD Low Level Format Tool software. If you don't have it yet, you can grab the latest version of HDD Low Level Format Tool.
Step 1: After downloading and installing, when you open it, you'll see the software interface as follows:
The first line displays the name of your hard drive as listed by the software. Next, click to select the drive you want to repair and Continue.
Note: Make sure to close all running programs so the software can proceed with repairing the bad sectors on your hard drive.
Step 2: A new window will appear, where you select the Low-Level Format option and click Format This Device to initiate the process.
Simply wait for the program to finish running. This process may take quite some time. After formatting is complete, restart your computer to check the status of the hard drive.
