Set Password for Kindle
From the Home screen, select Menu > select Settings > Device Options > choose Device Passcode.
Enter and confirm the password, then press OK.
Name Your Device

How to Turn On/Off Kindle or Enter Sleep Mode

Visit Manage your Kindle > Log in to your Amazon account.
