Typically, a phone offers various screen wake-up options from using physical buttons to gesture controls. Throughout my usage, I've discovered several ways to unlock the screen. Right below, I'll introduce you to 5 primary methods to unlock the OPPO screen to ensure smooth operation even in tricky situations or errors.
1. Utilize Fingerprint Unlock
Depending on your phone model, fingerprint sensors can be located in various places like the power button, under the display, or on the back. But once you place your fingerprint on the designated area, your phone will unlock and illuminate the screen for use.
2. Enable Double-Tap to Wake
You can activate the double-tap feature to wake up your phone. Simply customize and enable it in your device settings. Head over to Settings > choose Main Screen and Lock Screen > toggle the switch under Double-Tap to Wake, and you're good to go!
3. Lift to Wake
You can use this method instead of double-tapping to unlock the screen, but I find it more convenient as you only need to lift up the screen. Similar to double-tap to wake, for this method, you also need to go to Settings > Main Screen and Lock Screen > toggle the switch for Lift to Wake.
4. Draw to Wake
This is an advanced feature where you can not only use it to unlock the screen but also for various other functions. Go straight to Settings > Additional Settings > Gestures and Motions.
Next, in the Gestures when the screen is off section, turn on the switch for this feature. Here, you'll find characters to draw, and each character corresponds to a different function. You can tap on them to view, customize the function, and swipe the switch to the right to use it. The character you need to draw to unlock the screen is the letter M. Select Draw the letter M, tap on it to select action > choose Unlock, then go back and swipe this switch to the right to activate it and start using it.
5. Plug in the Charger
This is the final solution when your phone cannot perform the above 4 methods. Just plug in the charger, and your phone will wake up the screen. However, this is only a temporary solution; you need to take the device to the service center for inspection and repair.
