The first thing to note is you need a monitor with a refresh rate of 120 Hz or above. The PC configuration should be decent as 120 FPS is significantly heavier than 30 or 60 FPS. This method cannot be used on Android.
After that, all the guides on how to unlock 120 FPS for Honkai: Star Rail on PC use the same method as follows:
- Step 1: Press the Windows button (or click the Start Menu), type Regedit to open the Registry Editor. Right-click and choose 'Run as administrator'.
- Step 2: Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Cognosphere > Star Rail.
- Step 3: In the right frame, find the value GraphicsSettings_Model_h2986158309. Right-click on it and choose Modify.
- Step 4: A new window opens. In the right frame, at the beginning, you'll see the line 'FPS':60. Simply change this number to 120, click OK, and then close all Registry Editor windows.

However, many Mytour readers may face difficulty in step 3 as they can't find the line GraphicsSettings_Model_h2986158309 anywhere. This is entirely normal and common, but the solution is simple, just follow these steps:
- Open Honkai: Star Rail. In the game's graphics settings, select the frame rate and set it to 30 FPS.
- Then exit the game and reopen the Registry Editor following the steps above. You'll see GraphicsSettings_Model_h2986158309 appear.
- Continue following the instructions at the beginning of the article to unlock.
How do you know you've done it right, and Honkai: Star Rail is running at 120 FPS? It's simple, you can use an FPS measuring tool like Fraps to read the frame rate. Or another method is to open the game and go to the settings again. If you suddenly see the options... disappear and only remain as shown below, then the game is running at 120 FPS.

Note that you should not modify any image settings after unlocking 120 FPS for Honkai: Star Rail. If you make any changes to these settings, the game will revert to 60 FPS, and you'll need to repeat the steps at the beginning of the article to unlock 120 FPS.
