One of the widely used formats in printing is the PDF file. However, Adobe Illustrator currently does not directly support PDF export; instead, you need to follow several distinct steps. In this article, the software wizard will guide you on how to export PDF files in Adobe Illustrator.
For Adobe Illustrator's default file, we will use the default color system on the system, which does not support PDF export. This issue requires converting the color system before creating a PDF file in the AI software.
Step 1: Firstly, select Edit -> Color Settings (Shift + Ctrl + K) to open the color settings panel.
Step 2: In the Color Settings window, configure the Settings (1) to Emulate Adobe Illustrator 6.0.
Step 3: After adjusting the colors, choose File -> Save As… (Shift + Ctrl + S) to perform the image export.
Step 4: The Save As window appears, and you need to set the Save as type to Adobe PDF (*.PDF) for storage in PDF format.
Step 5: For the PDF format, a settings window allows customization, but it's recommended to keep all parameters at default for the best quality. Finally, press Save PDF to execute the PDF file export.
