OPPO smartphones have long featured a unique characteristic—the ability to perform gestures even when the screen is off. Today, I'll guide you on how to set up smart gestures on OPPO Reno 3 Pro.

1. Benefits of enabling the utility toolkit feature
- Enable quick actions, open apps, or access features with a simple touch or gesture on your screen.
- Infuse a touch of distinction into your device interaction for a more enjoyable user experience.
2. How to activate the utility toolkit
- Step 1: Navigate to the utility toolkit in settings
On the main screen interface, select the Settings icon > Then choose Utility Toolkit.
- Step 2: Choose Motion Gestures
After selecting Utility Toolkit > Proceed to select Motion Gestures.
In the Motion Gestures section, toggle the switches for various options:
+ Screen-off gestures: Customize actions when the screen is off (Step 3 below).
+ 3-finger screenshot: Quickly capture the screen by swiping 3 fingers downward simultaneously.
+ Lift to wake: Lift the phone from any flat surface, and the screen will light up.
+ Auto-answer with ear: Enable this feature for the phone to answer calls when placed against your ear.
+ Auto-switch to earpiece: Switch to the external speaker when you bring the phone close to your ear.
+ Flip to silence incoming calls: Flip the phone screen down during a call to automatically mute the ringer.
- Step 3: Adjust Screen-off Gestures
When selecting Screen-off Gestures, turn on the switch to reveal options below. Toggle the switch next to each function to use and press Screen-off Gestures (at the bottom of the page) to continue customization.
- Step 4: Customize Additional Screen-off Gestures
To modify the function, tap on each gesture (I'm choosing the ^ gesture here) > Select a corresponding function for the gesture.
Here, we have the option to draw the ^ symbol when the screen is off, and the device will unlock, call a contact, or open an app (choose only 1 of 3).
