Solution:
WinRAR is a renowned data compression and extraction software, widely preferred over WinZip or 7-Zip. This tool offers a plethora of useful features to quickly and efficiently compress and decompress data files. In case you want to add annotations to a compressed file in WinRAR, follow these steps:
- Start by installing WinRAR on your computer; after installation, the software seamlessly integrates into the right-click menu for your convenience.
- Right-click on the folder you want to compress and select Add to archive...
- A window will appear; navigate to the Comment tab and input your annotation in the Enter a comment manually section.
- Switch to the General tab, under Compression method, choose Best. Then, press OK to confirm.
- Upon completing the file compression process, double-click on the recently compressed file, and you'll see the annotation section displayed as shown below.
