To execute Microsoft's latest operating system on Apple's hardware, users can opt for two solutions. The first involves running Windows through Parallels, while the alternative is to hack Windows 10 for native execution and upgrade to the latest version. However, Microsoft explicitly states it will never support running Windows 11 on Mac or M1 machines.
'Windows 11 is evolving security features, empowering users to identify applications and software using their microphone and camera without permission. Details will be unveiled in the upcoming article,' as highlighted by Microsoft.

Windows 11 on the Horizon for Apple M1
As mentioned earlier by Mytour, users will soon be able to run Windows 11 on Apple M1 through a project led by developer Arminder Singh. The project is in its early development stages, and Singh also highlights some challenges for users.

In a blog post, the developer details the unique architecture of Apple's chip, distinct from the standard ARM64 chips of Qualcomm or MediaTek, requiring multiple hardware activations. Fortunately, some activations have been achieved for Linux through the Asahi Linux project. Asahi Linux, with its goal of running Linux on Apple Silicon hardware, has paved the way for certain activations.
However, there will be specific challenges related to Apple's hardware. Singh explains the primary issue related to Apple AIC's (Apple Interrupt Controller) high-level interrupt controller. Another challenge involves the Input-Output Memory Management Unit (IOMMU) of M1, supporting 16K pages instead of the standard 8K.
Facing obstacles like these, the developer also shares that the project may not be successful, and there is currently no ETA at this time.
