Facebook has recently introduced an exciting new feature, allowing you to tag any individual in your personal bio. Whenever someone clicks on the tagged name you've added, they will be directed to that person's profile. Here's how to tag others in your Facebook bio using your mobile device.
A Comprehensive Guide to Tagging Others in Your Facebook Bio
Step 1: If your Facebook app hasn't been updated for a while, make sure it has this feature. Head to your app store and update it to the latest version. I'll provide the update links below for your convenience.
Step 2: During setup, obtain the user ID of the person you want to tag. Depending on the account, the ID can be found in the account information. If you can't find it, copy the link to the user's profile and visit the link below. Paste the link to the user's profile into the empty box, and you'll receive the ID you need, as shown in the image below.
Step 3: Once you've updated, open the app and go straight to your profile page. Then, you'll find an Edit Profile option on the screen. Tap on it.
Step 4: Next, scroll down and find the Bio section. Here, you'll see an Add Bio button if you haven't had one, or it'll be an Edit button if you've had a bio before. What you need to do next is insert the following code into the bio field: [User ID:999:bio content]. For example, if a user's ID is 123456789, you should insert the code [123456789:999:bio content] into the bio field. Once added, simply click Save.
You can check if this feature is working properly by enabling View Mode in your profile's options menu as shown below.
