After a two-week pre-order period, on November 25th, Samsung officially released the Galaxy Note Fan Edition (Galaxy Note FE), a product designed to thank loyal customers who have cherished the Galaxy Note series over the years. The device is currently causing a sensation in the smartphone market in Vietnam, with 20,000 pre-orders recorded in just two weeks. If you're someone who already owns, or is considering getting, a Galaxy Note FE, stay tuned for some interesting tips and guides in this article.
1. Galaxy Note FE is IP68 Water and Dust Resistant, but do you know what IP68 means?
According to Samsung's announcement, the Galaxy Note FE is IP68 certified, providing water and dust resistance. However, it's essential to understand the IP68 standard to know more about the weather conditions and water depth that the Note FE can withstand.
Specifically, the IP68 standard indicates that the device can be submerged in water up to a maximum depth of 1.5 meters for a duration of up to 30 minutes. Additionally, this certification is granted under the condition that the water temperature ranges from 15 to 35 degrees Celsius. It would be detrimental to submerge the device in water that is too cold or boiling. Another note is that IP68 is tested in still water; any changes in currents can potentially damage the device.
Before using your Galaxy Note FE, make sure to thoroughly understand its water resistance capabilities.
2. Utilize Galaxy Note FE for Charging Other Devices
Inside the Galaxy Note FE box, you'll find a USB adapter ready to go. This device allows you to directly integrate it into the phone, with the other end connecting to a microUSB cable. From here, you can connect it to other devices and transfer power from Galaxy Note FE to charge them.

3. Harness the Power of Fast Charging
Samsung has built-in fast charging feature on Galaxy Note FE, supporting users in rapidly boosting the energy refill speed for the device, reducing annoying wait times. Make sure you've activated this feature by going to: Settings > Device Maintenance > Battery. Here, tap on the three-dot icon at the top right corner of the screen, select Advanced Settings, and then toggle the fast charging feature on or off as per your preference.
Don't forget to activate Galaxy Note FE's fast charging feature.
4. Flexibly Use 2 Battery Saving Modes
To optimize the battery experience for users, Samsung has brought not just one, but two battery-saving modes on Galaxy Note FE. Navigate to: Settings > Device Maintenance > Battery and select one of the two battery-saving modes, Medium or Maximum, if you wish to use the device for longer periods without frequent charging. Note that for each battery-saving mode, Galaxy Note FE will automatically disable some features and adjust the screen resolution to 1080p or 720p to prevent energy loss.

5. Transfer All Data from Old Smartphone Quickly
Getting a new smartphone is something everyone loves, but after switching phones, a task that many find cumbersome is transferring all data from the old device to the new one, which can be time-consuming. However, with Galaxy Note FE, you don't have to worry at all. Through the USB adapter included in the box, you can effortlessly transfer all your previous personal data such as files, photos, contacts, apps, etc., from your old smartphone to Galaxy Note FE.
The simple steps to follow are to use the cable to connect to the old phone, connect the other end to the USB adapter, and then integrate it into Galaxy Note FE. The Smart Switch app will appear, and you just need to tap on Receive Data and wait for the conversion process to complete.

6. Utilize Shortcuts on the Always On Screen
Galaxy Note FE boasts a fascinating Always On feature, allowing users to customize the device to display information about battery, date, percentage, and notifications even when the screen is off. However, what's interesting is that when the device receives a notification, Galaxy Note FE allows you to double-tap directly on the signal on Always On; the device will immediately take you to the corresponding app that generated the notification.
Simply tap on the notification on Always On, and you'll be directed to the corresponding app.
7. Use Blue Light Filter Mode Before Sleep
On the Galaxy Note FE's home screen, when you swipe down twice from the top edge of the screen (or use two fingers simultaneously to swipe down once), you'll see the Quick Settings panel appear. Here, a function called Blue Light Filter appears; when you tap on this icon, you'll see the screen emit a soft, yellowish light. This is a feature you should activate before going to sleep to avoid disrupting your sleep cycle by your smartphone and to protect your health.
8. Utilize Private Mode to Protect Personal Information
In case you have important personal information you don't want anyone else to see, use the Private Mode integrated into Galaxy Note FE. After going through user verification processes such as fingerprint, iris scan, or PIN, you can transfer your confidential data here; they will be completely isolated and cannot be found by any other means except by accessing Private Mode.
